“A Great Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Ate here with my brother, who is used to the culinary delights of Melbourne Australia. Very friendly and attentive staff. The highlights were the salt and pepper squid, beef with green beans and chilli and the pork belly dishes. Fresh spicy and satisfying on another freezing night. Washed down with a few glasses of wine. The bill was £60 for 2. Not bad for Central London. My brother was suitably impressed!

“Fresh and delicious. How real Vietmamese good SHOUD taste! Can't wait to go back.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

Simple , delicious and quirky. Nice staff and real flavours that excited and pleased the palette .
Give me flavour over quantity any day but I left here feeling full and happy I had eaten what tasted like Great Homemade Food.

It's not flashy or grand, just deliciously simple, not bland.

“Lovely food, great little find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

Had been looking for a place to try Vietnamese food in the UK since going to Vietnam on honeymoon in December and falling in love with the cuisine. Walked in without a booking on a Friday at ~6pm and got seated (2 of us) straight away. I had fresh spring rolls and bun bo Hue, the missus had the Vietnamese spring rolls and beef pho. All delicious, not heavy or greasy or overly westernised. Pretty close to what we had in Vietnam so would definitely go again.

“So - So”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Went for a pre theatre meal at this Covent Garden eaterie, hoping to kindle memories of the wonderful fresh, herby and tasty food we had in Vietnam. The service was efficient and friendly and the prices reasonable for central London. But the spring rolls, battered squid, etc were heavy and greasy and far from the delicious street food we enjoyed. Cue indigestion. The Pho was quite tasty and filling, but I doubt we'd go back.

“Delicious food, very good service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

Com Viet is very good value. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we went back four days later. At street level it looks like a run-down little "caff" but downstairs is spacious and comfortable. The staff are courteous, friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. The second time we went, we were five and we built avery satisfying meal around a selection of starters which included Vietnamese spring rolls (the best I have had in my 59 years), charcoaled spare ribs, Vietnamese summer rolls, Banh Xeo, and chili salt and pepper squid. I also highly recommend the shaking chicken and lemongrass chicken. Well worth a visit.
