“Great staff and value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Stayed 22-24 Dec to visit Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park and do shopping. hotel reception is good, clean and breakfast was very good. Staff very helpful and room clean. 7-8 min walk from Kings Cross Station. Lift did get stuck got a few minutes but alarm/telecom system worked and staff were very apologetic. We were offered a complimentary breakfast as compensation. Grocer shops and take always directly opposite. We tried Mediteraneo restaurant just up the road and got massive amounts of authentic Itslian food for very cheap prices. Eg large pizza only around £7. Breakfast was hot and fresh with bacon, sausage, tomatoes and scrambled egg. Toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit and fresh juice that did not taste watered up! Room was clean, bed lovely and comfy, fresh bright and soft towels. Bath and shower worked fine with lovely hot water. Room heater worked well, in fact was a little too warm but won't complain as it's winter and would rather be too hot than cold. Staff were genuinely friendly both on check in and out. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a simple basic place to lay your head after busy days in London.

Good hotel with great structure. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Bathroom is functional and needs to be renewed. There is no air conditioning in the room, only heating system. Since London is always cold, it is okay.

Breakfast is offered. Don't expect ham and cheese and a lot of bread. You will find a typical english breakfast with eggs, sausage and beans, which is cool to live the english life style.

The location is not amazing but is good. You have to walk a little bit to get to the subway, but nothing impossible. At night the streets are a bit more dark and with few people walking. Be aware.

I stayed at this Travelodge on Saturday night after booking through logitravel.co.uk. Although I expected a single room for £55, I had a double so great value for money. The room on the fifth floor was in a quiet location and I had no problems sleeping (except for once when I few people returned after a night on the town, but that was a matter of a few minutes). Overall the staff were always friendly, the place clean and I would recommend staying at this hotel. It is good for access as a reasonable walk to the tube. My only gripe was there being a fairly long queue trying to get a seat for breakfast at 9.30am (admittedly should have gone down earlier) and as it wasn't moving I skipped it.

Stayed here for one night in December 2014. The welcome from the staff on our arrival was warm and friendly. The staff offered us the use of a hairdryer and we took them up on this offer at check in. We had booked a twin room and the room was clean and fresh with plenty of space. The beds were comfy, too. The hotel is near the main stations of Euston and Kings Cross St Pancras and is a busy hotel. It was noisy overnight with other people watching tv loudly and people
arriving back from a night out, which is to be expected at any budget priced hotel like this.

We had a meal in the evening in the bar café, which was tasty and very
convenient. We also had breakfast, which was a busy affair, but there was plenty of hot food, cereal, tea and coffee available, and even though it was busy, the atmosphere was pleasant.
Overall this was a good stay for a reasonable price in an excellent location.

First of all I want to start off by saying I'm not sure why this place is getting so many bad reviews. We stayed here for 4 nights and for London we got a great deal which included breakfast.

We arrived early so asked if we could get into our room early, the woman on reception was very pleasant and allowed us to check in early for an extra £10 which we thought was very reasonable. We were even asked out of the rooms available which floor we would like, we chose the 6th floor.

The room we were given was near to the lift so we thought we would hear that during the day/night as well as other guests but we didn't hear a thing. It was very quiet.

When we got into the room the size was bigger than I expected (after reading previous reviews). The only one complaint from my husband was the smell of damp when he first entered the bathroom. This was only smelt for a few minutes and we never smelt it again strangely.

With the window open it was quite noisy as we were facing the main road but after that we used the AC instead which worked great. With the window closed we could not hear the traffic from where we were. The bed was extremely comfortable too.

There was a bedside table on my husbands side of the bed but not mine which was slightly annoying but it didn't bother me too much. There were plenty of plug sockets which was a nice surprise too.

Breakfast, I'm glad it was included in the price of the hotel as I don't think it was worth the price they were charging. If I stay here again and it's not included I will go elsewhere. It was ok but not the best I've ever had.

The hotel was less than a 10 min walk from King's Cross Station so it was a perfect location and I didn't feel scared or worried walking back later on at night.

Every member of staff we spoke to during the stay was very polite.

I would stay here again the next time we visit London

We Stayed here for a saturday night stay and paid just under £80 for a double room, which was very good value.
We arrived at 9.30 am and the staff kindly allowed us to leave our bags so that we could go on and enjoy our day.
we checked in to another friendly welcome later in the day ... the room was nice and tidy with a nice view , my only issue was that was no bedside tables but it didnt really matter.
We didnt make breakfast as we were a little fragile from a day of drinking .
the area outside is ok with a few bars and restaurants and a few kate night takeaways.
a great place for a night or to in London

Once I had found the right Travelodge (there are two Kings Cross Travelodges which is very confusing. Rename one!) the hotel was excellent with a great breakfast offering. But room 234 is over a metal gated car park which people started going out of at 4:30am. And shouted at each other. Respect others!
