As regular diners at The Wolseley, we expected great things of the Delaunay. Our first visit here on a friday evening was excellent. Four of us enjoyed the stroganoff, calves liver and lamb for mains - all very enjoyable.
The atmosphere was fantastic, buzzy and busy. The staff were, without exception, attentive and professional. We had our table from 6.30pm until 9pm. We expected a tap on the shoulder towards the end but we continued our evening until 9.30pm when we were understandably reminded of the time. The waiter was almost embarrassed asking us to vacate but he shouldn't have been.
If we had one criticism it would be that the food could have been slightly warmer. That said, it wasn't big enough an issue to mention and it certainly didn't spoil anything.
Thank you - we will definitely be back.
