“Good deal for Central London”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

This hotel is relatively new, very clean, decent showers and less than 5 minutes walk from Holborn Station on the central line. Service was good and love the fact that they have a water station by the lifts so can refill whenever we are about to head out! This hotel has 2 entrances to and one of them is just off Kingsway where there are lots of restaurants, bars and coffee shops for breakfast or a quick bite/drink!

The new Club Quarters Lincoln's Inn Fields location is a marvelous find and at a bargain price for London. The room rates for this location are much the same as many of the tatty, down at heels guest houses in Bayswater, but what a difference. Lincoln's Inn Fields is a reasonably quiet oasis in the midst of London - very little traffic or noise and the beauty of the extensive gardens in the midst of it all, yet right next to the Holborn tube stop and within easy walking distance of much of central London. Our room, which faced out on to the square, was a queen with a fold-out bed and well-equipped kitchenette. It was quietly luxurious - the sheets, comforter and pillows were truly comfortable and obviously high end. The room was kitted out with all the aids a modern traveler might want, including ten or more USB charging points and many wall sockets. The hotel staff were all welcoming, attentive and responsive to every inquiry. On checkout, their computers had gone down and there were numbers of us impatiently waiting to be checked out, but the manager handled everything quickly and with wonderful grace under pressure. We were on our way with little delay as it turned out. A very professionally run operation. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel enjoy a beautiful view of the square.

We were only here for one night on a City break "up from the country" and stayed on a special deal on a Saturday night.

Let's get the bad things out of the way - we had booked three rooms, had confirmed this, and had emails and booking references to prove it. Nevertheless the hotel claimed there were only two rooms because one had "been cancelled". Questions about who had cancelled & when were met with a wall of silence. Our paperwork was accepted under sufferance and three rooms were provided. It turned out that the hotel was not full, so why be so damned difficult about it?? The reception area & the check-in desk are ludicrously small. It only took a few people trying to check in and out at the same time (apparently a normal thing in a hotel, surely?) and the lobby was in chaos. The rooms are on the small side, and there is only a shower, no bath.

However, on the good side - the place is new (on the inside - the building dates back a bit!), the rooms are very modern & well appointed, especially the technology (flat-screen TV, wi-fi, power, computer ports etc). The double bed was very comfortable & we slept well. Public areas are very nice, but quite small, There's free coffee & water in the lobby. The location is excellent for getting to & from anything in central London, being a short walk from Covent Garden & Theatre-land. Holborn tube is a two-minute walk round the corner. Lincoln's Inn Fields itself is a little green oasis ion the middle of the city.

Overall, I'd class this as a "business" hotel, geared for the hast check-in/ check-out tech-savvy types. At week-ends, they fill the spare capacity wijh leisure travellers like ourselves. This is not a problem, just something to be aware of.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Club Quarters overlooking Lincoln's Inn Field. It is a brand new property with spacious rooms and nice amenities. Mariusz who checked us in was especially nice and helpful. The location is wonderful -- we walked to the theater, and it was nice to have the public space across the street. The rooms are particularly nicely appointed. We also got a great deal.

Room Tip: A room in the front over looking the park!

Excellent stay this weekend, staff were really friendly, are rooms were upgraded so that travelling with 2 families we could have rooms next to each other. Which was great. Rooms were excellent, clean, fresh and the bed was super comfy. So close to covent garden and all the main thearte's. Will be returning for sure. Thank you.

We have just come back from a family outing to London, I picked club quarters because it was nearby and within easy walking distance to the theatre we were going to. We were impressed with the lovely location, opposite the park. The spot less reception area and the easy check in. We were early but our room was waiting for us. It was a family room with a large double and a good standard sofa bed, the bathroom was spot less and a very good size. This was a room only option but had tea making facilities as well as tea and coffee making machines in the reception area and a nice outdoor terrace area, for drinks and food. Our only criticism is, as we were on the ground floor we were very close to the lifts. And were disturbed in the early hours by late night guests with no manners!!!!! I was also impressed with the automatic checkout in the morning. On the whole I would choose this hotel again for our weekend break.

Room Tip: Try to keep away from the lifts

Any visitor coming to London could do no better than staying at the Club Quarters, Lincoln Fields. Based on costs, standard of rooms and location.......and location to me in this instance has four meanings,
1. Location close to tube (5 mins walk to Holborn tube).
2. Close to lots of restaurants and bars (particularly recommend 'Bills' which is right beside the rear entrance to the hotel.......we had breakfast there and the eggs benedict and scrambled egg with salmon was excellent
3. 10 mins walk to a number of theatres, in fact Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Buckingham Palace are all within 25 min walk.
4. And although the hotel is close to a lot of important things you could forget you are actually in Central London, it is set in a really quiet spot. Lincoln Fields has a very attractive park, green area around which the roads are full of grand old buildings of which the hotel is one. So if you were to walk to the hotel from Holborn tube you would walk down some typical busy London roads and then you turn off these roads into this green area which is very quiet and a contrast to most of London.
As for the hotel itself, you check yourself in on one of the available check in/out machines you just need the card you booked with and a key card is produced for you.
Now we had what was described as a Small double (room 1005 on 10th top floor which looked over the park) , we didn't think it was that small it was very quiet, air con worked really well, comfortably appointed, nice King bed.
I really rate this hotel, if you are self sufficient travellers and do not need to rely on reception to sort out all your travelling problems for you (free WiFi in hotel in any case) are happy to have good quality rooms without some of the fine extras of a grand hotel then I would recommend you give this hotel a go.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that looks over Lincoln Fields
