“a little gem in london”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

we stayed here for a week with my 3 year old son in august. It was such a pleasant experience. Very comfortable, very clean and a good choice of food for breakfast. An ideal location just a short distance from most of the attractions. The staff were very friendly. The family room was a good size. Everthing was certainly premier but the price!

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights last week and was very impressed. The staff were all extremely friendly, helpful and chatty and our twin room on the 6th floor was very clean and a good size (we didn't really have a view from the window but this didn't bother us at all) The room was very cool which was great since it was so warm outside!

It is in a fantastic location, just a 2 minute walk from Old Street Underground Station so if you are arriving at King's Cross or Euston then it is perfect, just 2 or 3 tube stops away on the Northern line. Being so close to the underground makes it easy to get to all the sights and attractions in central London. The surrounding area was quiet at night and we had great sleeps.

The breakfast is great value and we ate in the resteraunt one evening which was also good. It was also great to be able to leave our luggage free of charge at the hotel on our last day, giving us time to do some last minute shopping before our train.

I'll definately be staying here again next time I am in London!

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Premier Inn Old Street. What a delight! The hotel has only been open since last November and is well situated for the local tube station, St Pancras Train Station and central London. The staff are wonderful and most obliging, nothing too much trouble. Added bonus is the current offer of two meals for £10!. This is a must do destination.

We stayed here for just 1 night over the Bank Holiday. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and very clean, far more superior to a Travelodge. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and we were shown by the waiting staff what was on offer. I would recommend you eat before 8.30am as it was busy after this time.
Location is great near to the tube and you are able to leave bags in the luggage room once you've checked out.
My only comment would be that if you used the self service check in, you don't get such a personal service however this has its benefits as it is very fast and efficient with no need to queue.
We would stay here again if we visited London again.

Just come back from a two night stay here with my husband and 13 year old son. The customer service at this hotel is second to none, from the minute you walk in to the minute you walk out nothing is too much trouble, this goes for all staff, reception staff, bar staff, waiters and room cleaners. I wish some other establishments would follow Premier Inn's customer service standards.

The hotel is in a great location, five minutes from Old Street Underground and really easy to find. We had a family room on the 7th floor which was immaculately clean and plenty big enough for three of us. The beds were really comfortable with extra pillows if needed. The rooms are air conditioned. We arrived at 11am on the first day and we were able to leave our bags so we could head off to see the sights, and again on the last day we left our bags and picked them up at tea time before heading home.

We had the breakfast each morning which was great value although a little busy, but we did pick the busiest time to go so have no complaints at all. There is a two for £10 meal offer on between 12 noon and 5 pm which we had one day - the fish and chips were lovely and better than you would get at a chippy. Drinks were surprisingly cheap at £3.25 for a pint of Carling which I couldn't believe for a central London hotel.

This is the first Premier Inn we have stayed at and compared to similar hotel chains they are far superior in our experience. It really is true - everything is premier but the price.

Thank you Premier Inn for a lovely stay, we will definitely be returning.

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to review your brilliant stay at Premier Inn London City (Old Street).

We are glad that you had such a wonderful time with us and you enjoyed every moment, the staff are always happy to lend a hand if need be and will always make you feel like this is your second home.

The bed that all Premier Inn’s have are made from the same people who make the Queen’s bed, so when you stay next, just remember, you’re not just an average guest, you’re royalty.

The restaurant staff are pleased that you found the food lovely.

See you again soon some time.

Best Wishes,
Team Old Street.

My wife & I recently stayed at the Premier Inn in London (Old street)
The hotel has only been open about 8 months so as you may imagine everything is shiny & new, the hotel staff are very friendly and have a vast wealth of knowledge in regard to attractions, not just the main one but local to the area too.
The food at the hotel was very good and varied, there was something for everyone & very cost effective too.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone & we will be going back within the next few weeks too.

Room Tip: All rooms are very well kept & are similar in quality. The hotel gives a great night's sleep...

Our stay has been enjoyable from start to finish at this premier in and can honestly say its the best out of the ones we have stayed in previously!

check in / out - we arrived early and although we couldn't check in yet we were able to leave bags there to enjoy the day. On our return we were greeted with smiling staff who were only too happy to help guide us through the simple automatic check in procedure. When we checked out we were able to leave our bags to collect later as our train home wasn't until evening.

Room - The room was clean and comfortable and towels and tea and coffee facilities were replenished daily. Although the windows dont open the air-con is more than enough to keep room at a comfortable temperature!

Food - We had the £22 meal deal (3 course meal, drink and buffet breakfast the following morning) and all the food we had was lovey and service from staff was fab - always happy to help and smiling.

Location - right near old street tube station (2 mins walk) which is on the northern line and is ideal for all city attractions and only 2 stops from st pancras. So fab location if you don't want to pay city centre prices for hotels.

Overall a fantastic Hotel, we will return here if we are in London and will recommend to others.
