“Meal at The Coal Hole, The Strand, London”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

I prebooked a table at the Coal Hole via the internet. On arriving at 16:00 realised there was no need to prebook as the Dining area was nearly empty The service was good. The food was cooked as requested and was also good. I would recommend this place to other people,

“Freezing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Great atmosphere and good food, staff were nice but soooo cold and the plug in radiator wasn't a lot of use. (It was trying to snow so outside temperatures were very low)

“Well worth a visit - lunch or evening time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Nice historic place. Got loads of charm. Good lunch menu. Nice food. Staff friendly.

Evenings can be quite busy with the after work crowd.

Overall, worth a visit for a drink or food. Good pub grub.

“Traditional”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Packed to the gills with an ecclectic mix of locals and tourists, good beer, good service a little short on seating but room limited. My idea of what a pub should be like. Not enough like this one left!!

“Expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Very expensive, the price of two drinks at £8 and they weren't even doubles. Plenty of pubs in London that aren't so expensive!,
