“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

due to the reviews we booked a Privalage room. Not that big, but perfectly adequate. The room was clean, but felt a little old. The soft drinks in the mini bar were free, so that was a bonus. room had a safe, flat screen TV, iron, nespresso machine, air con, desk and a very comfy bed.
Room we had overlooked road, so there was some road noise. The bigger noise issues was that outside the room was the linen closet, so the staff outside woke us up. ( about 7.30, so not that early I guess)
There was Free wifi in the hotel, but my iPhone cold not pick up the signal on floor 5.

We only had breakfast in the restaurant, about £12 for a full breakfast. It was self service apart from the toast and coffee, it was very nice and the service very good.

The location was OK, a lit bit away from the middle of london, about a 5min walk from earls court tube station.

Nothing special, fine for the cost, would stay there again.

Dear mchughxxx,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review.

I was delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Your comments have been shared with the team.

We have various room types and sizes from Small Doubles to Executive King. My personal suggestion for your future stays is to book one of our Exectuive King rooms as they are on the large side and will provide the space and comfort you are looking for.

Kindest regards,

Waited several minutes for someone to show up at Reception but she was very nice when she arrived. Room was clean but very small. Clearance around double bed was 6 inches on one side, six inches at foot of bed and two feet on other side of bed, one foot of which was used by desk. Shower pressure was very low. I could have easily rinsed my hair standing in the rain. If you flush the toilet, you must wait 10 minutes to shower or you will be scalded. Heard neighbours through the walls perfectly. If you ask for a bigger room, you may be told nothing is available. Having said all that, the hotel is in an awesome location, it's clean and the staff is very friendly. If you're looking for a place only to sleep, I recommend this highly.

Dear Karenva747,

Thank you for your tripadvisor contribution.

As you will find with many other Central London Hotels, the size of the rooms will always be on the smaller side. Our room size vary from small doubles to standard and executives, the latter two being very spacious.

I was delighted to read that you were pleased with our staff and location. It brings us great pleasure to read that our comitment to customer service is noted.

Please email directly prior to your next stay at h8064-gm@accor.com so I can ensure you experience a more enjoyable stay.

Kindest regards,

The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from Earls Court station. We were in room 303 which was a compact twin but had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. If I was being picky I could say that it was a little worn & tired in places but it was perfectly clean which is the main thing. The thing that lifts the hotel above merely average is the staff who were universally extremely charming, friendly & helpful. Right from arriving they made us feel really welcome and the whole hotel had a warm and friendly feeling because of this. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in this part of London.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

Hotel is 10 minutes walk from Gloucester Road or Earls Court tube stations. Lobby and reception small and nicely set out.

I booked a single room. The room had a small double bed filling most of the floor space, with a cupboard, large flat screen TV on top of a small writing table. The was an adequate sized fitted bathroom and toilet.

There was only leg room space to pass around the bed to an area where you could put my suit case, wthich stopped me then using the cupboard or desk.

The room were fitted out to get a 3 star rating however the design does not consider the hotel guests needs. If they put in a single bed, removing the double, my room rating would go up two points.

I would go to another hotel, of which there are many near by, if I am in that part of London again.
