“Home cooked tasty food and relaxed friendly atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2012

Enjoyed a really tasty lunch. The food tasted fresh and home cooked - no fancy tricks, just a really good British menu and homely food.

“A great lunchtime venue near the Tower of London”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2012

Have been to this restaurant several times and I have to say that the food is excellent and relatively inexpensive for this area of London. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good selection of traditional English food and the homemade desserts are delicious - ask them to recommend which is the best that day. Great place to have cake and coffee or even a glass or two of wine. It's a little gem of a place!

“Good for lunch after visit to Tower.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2011

The restaurant i very close to the Tower gates, so it was a natural target for us. We found a good and varied menu card; but we were very disappointed, when the waiter told us, that the restaurant was not licensed in spite of the sign outside saing so.
We had a fine burger/tasty club sandwich, but would had preferred somthing better than Coke with it.
Check the availability of beer or wind before taking a table!

“Wonderful small cafe, lovely staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2011

Our family of five stopped at this quirky, small cafe for a late afternoon tea while on vacation in London in July, 2011. We had been walking all day and this sun-dappled, garden-like restaurant was the perfect place for a bite to eat and a rest. The site is lovely. It has an outdoor garden patio area and a solarium indoor space. It is located at All Hallows by the Tower and is literally just steps from the Tower of London. The tea and baked-goods were delicious and at a more reasonable price than any other Afternoon Tea I saw advertised. It was really one of the nicest and most leisurely meals we had on our entire trip. The staff was courteous and friendly but they really went above and beyond when the manager chased us halfway to Tower Hill tube station to return the Oyster Card my daughter had left behind on the table! Definitely a knight in shinning armor!
