“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

Second stay at this hotel-still excellent. Location very good indeed for shopping in Westfield and visiting locations in and around London(stations and DLR handy).Breakfast standard premier Inn breakfast and evening meals very good indeed(had meal deal) All staff at this hotel are first class-customer service very high on their priority list.
Windows do not open in rooms-very reliant on Air Cond for a good night's sleep.
No hot water in room unless thermostat for heating/air cond turned up!

Room Tip: Ask for quiet room

3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

I stayed at the Premier Inn during the Paralympic Games and the location was excellent for that purpose. There are two public transport stations which are very close. One is for the tube and the other for the DLR (Docklands Rail). This makes it easy to get anywhere else you need to go in London but it could end up being expensive because you pay by the zone and this location isn't particularly central. I had a free Oyster card so I can't provide information on the cost factor.

It was a bit of a challenge to find the hotel - the signage in the Westfield Shopping Center is sparse. You actually have to go outside the shopping center to enter the hotel. Entry is on ground level but there are only a few chairs and elevators. You have to take the lift to the first floor. There are only two stations for check in with a real person and then there are a number of kiosks for self service. This means you can end up waiting a while for check in.

The bar and the hotel restaurant are located immediately behind the check in area. I only ate breakfast a couple of times - it was included in the room rate. The menu is the same every day. It is a buffet type breakfast with eggs (fried and scrambled), beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, hashbrowns, toast (and croissants etc..), yogurt, fruit, cereal, juices, coffee and tea. The quality of the food was good and they kept it well stocked.

The rooms are adequate in size but when two people are sharing a room (with a queen sized bed), there isn't much provision for storage of clothing or luggage. No dressers, no closet, just a small unit with a few hangers and some small shelves on either side. There are about four coathooks as well - there is room for more so I'm not sure why they only put four hooks in. There is a small television and a small desk as well. The hair dryer is nicely located in the main room with a lighted mirror - that way the bathroom is available for someone else to use while you are making yourself look gorgeous.

They give you a pillow choice - firm or soft (but not super soft which I prefer). There are no facecloths, just a bath towel and a hand towel (one for each guest). They don't provide the small toiletries - there is a soap dispenser in the bathtub/shower with a combination of shampoo/body wash in it and a hand soap dispenser at the sink.

There is a coffee maker in the room.

Our room had a very loose faucet in the bathroom sink. It took a couple of days after my husband reported the problem for it to be fixed.

Housekeeping services were good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view - otherwise you just get to look at the parkade.

Stayed here in june for the love box festival at nearby victoria park. Booked in advance and managed to get a very reasonable price for three nights. Had a room on 10 th floor over looking the Olympic park. Staff very friendly and large selection of food at breakfast. If u don't fancy food in the hotel it's right next door to westfield which also has a large selection of restaurants. Definitely recommended

Room Tip: Ask for one as high as possible as the views are amazing

Stayed here for two nights, flew in to Southend Airport, Easyjet from Belfast, the train then connects directly to Stratford in about 45mins. Walk through Westfield shopping centre, drop off your case and your good to go and explore London. Central line makes getting round so easy, hotel is very clean, staff are real friendly, views from our room 5 star, brilliant value hotel, great base for travelers exploring London especially if using the London Southend Airport.

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks around the London 2012 Paralympic Games. I was working, therefore my needs were specific and this hotel catered beautifully. The staff were attentive and had very good manners.
The room was well laid out and always clean. It was also quiet and had good air conditioning.
The breakfast was great. As much or as little as one needed. Options galore!
In the evening there was great bar food available late into the evening - very important when working late. The bar staff were interested, remembered preferences and shared a laugh when appropriate. They are a credit to the hotel and it's management.
I would stay here again. It's part of the Westfield Shopping Centre, which is HUGE! Great transport hub with Trains, DLR and Tube very nearby.

Room Tip: I tend to ask for rooms high up and away from the lifts and stairwells.

Super location for Olympic Park & surrounding area. Fabulous views from room on 9th Floor over Olympic Park. Staff were great and room was clean & comfortable. Great choice at breakfast. I would certainly stay in this hotel again.

Room Tip: Great views from higher floors
