“A great Cinema experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

With the cost of going to the cinema now you need to get an experience to make it worth while, the screen on the green most definitely provides this. Lovely comfortable seats with SPACE!! Room to move! It's fantastic. You also have he option to pay a little extra for a sofa (complete with foot stools) if you really wan t to kick back and stretch out.
The menu is refreshing as well, aside from the cinema staple of popcorn, you have coffees, cake, classic sweets and a licensed bar if you'd like to enjoy a beer or glass of wine whilst watching your film.
The choice of films is limited due to it being a one screen cinema but if you there is a film you'd like to see on it's screen then I recommendation visit highly.

“I won't go anywhere else to watch a film!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

This cinema is amazing.
The building itself is a work of art - from the 'American 50's style' front to the modern and welcoming reception.
The staff here can not do enough for you, constantly smiling and efficient - obviously film fans too.
The real gem - the screening room. The bar at the back is genius and offers table service, as well as hot and cold food with a huge choice of wines and spirits, beer, soft and hot drinks!
The seats are exactly what you want, large, soft, with a cushion and foot rest.
More leg room than you need, with plenty of room for bags and coats.
You have a table each for drinks that's level with your chair - No more fumbling around in the dark to find the drinks holder!
Some people have commented on the price - but it is no more expensive than the local 'Vue Cinema' and based on the service and new / classic films available - I wouldn't go anywhere else.
So if you want a personalised, unique theatre experience, surrounded by true film fans and the best staff, then 'Screen On The Green' is a must!!!
P.s. - Book early - screenings here tend to sell out fast!

“The only way to watch Django”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

It was the first time I had been to a "Boutique" cinema and it's definitely not going to be my last! I was looking for somewhere different to watch 'Django' (which is excellent) and wanted to do it in style. This cinema is well looked after and has a really good atmosphere with people who actually want to enjoy a movie in comfort and not worry about others talking and spoiling it for those around them. This is definitely a movie lovers cinema and would recommend to anyone that is excited to see a particular film to go here, get the sofa seats, have a beer with your popcorn and enjoy the movie in style.

“Best. Cinemas. Ever.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Ok, so you pay a bit more for your ticket, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" definitely applies here!

- Large seats, with lots of leg room. Sofas also available. Particularly noticeable during long films where your bum can become paralysed during the second half in a normal cinema seat.
- A bar, that serves good coffee, wine, cakes & snacks. GOOD WINE at the cinema - what's not to love!?
- Great service. The one in Belisize Park has table service - I can't remember if the one in Islington does. The people who work there are extremely friendly - no grumpiness in sight, which is rare in London.
- A good selection of films and only ONE film, so no loud crashing/booming/general noise coming through from other cinemas next to it. I have experienced this twice in larger cinemas recently when watching films that are quiet/more dialogue based and it's VERY irritating having explosions etc going on during a sensitive scene where you're trying to listen to what people are saying! (this comment applies to Belsize Park and Islington - I think some of the others have more than one cinema, so can't comment on noise travelling in those)

I have to admit I've been to Baker Street and was definitely less enamoured with this venue from the aforementioned two.

It's luxury cinema and worth every penny!

“A bar at the back and bug comfy sofas. What more could you want?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012 via mobile

Love this cinema and its sister cinemas. Bar at the back with table service to your seats. Big comfy double sofa seats at the sides with feet rests and even the single seats are good. The choice of films is great from the big blockbusters to smaller more interesting indie films. This is what cinemas should be like!
