“Great Coffee at Exceptional Location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2011

its quite rare to find a true farm quality so near London but this place in Hertfordshire is quite exceptional. I aim to be returning with my family here soon. they also have a farm so good that I could not hesitate but to buy several items.

“Breakfast with a View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011

Get the Big Breakfast...and a cappuccino then relax and realise you don't have to worry about eating for the rest of the day! The Ferny hill cafe has lost a little of its homely atmosphere with its expansion but the food quality is as high as ever and service much speedier. if you can get near the window then the view is rather delicious also - not words one normally associates with Enfield!
Stay away from the farmshop and the coffee cake though - will add pound to your waistline just by looking at them...

“Farm Cafe great home cooked food. Give the Amazing Maze a miss though.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2011

Our kids are good unfussy eaters. We struggle to find places to eat locally (Enfield) that serve good quality food. This place is consistently good. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. There is a cafe and a small farm shop where you can buy local produce. They do a sImple all day breakfast menu - you will have to wait as it is all coked fresh and it gets very busy, but you can bet your bacon, egg and sausages it will be great quality. Also offer panckakes/crepes, decent cakes or usually a good soup or a pate or salmon dish with crusty bread. I think their secret is great quality as they don't try to offer too much so it is all fresh. We've been visiting here for about 10 years and never had a complaint yet.

I would give the Amazing Maze next door a miss though, there is nothing amazing about it - except the price - which is a sin! The actual Maze kept the kids amused for half an hour but it cost us £23 for a family of 5 (kids age 8 to 11)!!!! They only have three pedal go-carts so there is limited time to go on them as many people are waiting. The tractors are for toddlers, the "straw mountain" is a very small stack of hay bales - so basically like walking up and down three steps repeatedly (where is the fun in that?). There were plenty of picnic tables and a giant game of connect 4. It might be better for toddlers (although not targeted at that group in advertising) where you could kill a bit more time with them, but I still think it is a bit of a rip off at that price.
