“Service was excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW via mobile

Stayed here this week on a work trip. The room was basic and exactly what you would expect for the price but the service was top class. The three people we encountered on reception during our stay were polite, friendly and more than helpful. The man on the desk when we checked in went over and above to ensure we had all that we needed, from a hairdryer,an iron,a cheap and reliable taxi and many more small yet helpful things... no request was too much and our whole evening was greatly improved due to this excellent service.
Thank you so much. We really appreciated it

Stayed her over Easter weekend as going to a gig in Brixton at the academy. There were five of us and we booked three rooms, the rooms are gigantic and we had a double and two singles in each room, so realistically we could of saved booked one of the extra rooms which is fab as some hotels only accommodate for 2 people so this is a good option for groups. It is not in the centre of London however it is really easy to get to we got the train to Wandsworth town and it is only a 5 minute walk if that. On the night of the gig we got the train there and got a taxi back from Brixton academy which only cost us £16 bargin especially for London. The Thames is a short walk away which is nice for a stroll along the waterfront. Only one bar along there though that we found but there is a Weatherspoons 5 mins away for some good value food and drink, plenty of shops about to. The staff were really friendly and happy to have a laugh which is good as we did wind them up a bit - Sorry, over excited for the gig. Would definitely recommend for a budget hotel.

Room Tip: We had three rooms on different floors and they were all large and of a clean satisfactory standard...

Despite the apparent recent makeover, the whole place felt tired. Cheap fixtures and fittings and everything done to provide minimum value for maximum return. The bed was comfortable, but cotton sheets would have been a bonus. Pretty forgettable.

Stayed here for two nights to attend a funeral in London en-route to the Midlands. Arrived about 8:00 pm and parking was difficult but eventually found a space with help from reception. First room we were given had terrible smell of drains. Reception again very helpful and allocated us a new room on the ground floor (a disabled access room). Staff also friendly and helpful with local advice but amenities were very basic, even for a Travelodge.

Room Tip: Try to avoid ones that smell

We tried to book a more central travelodge in London for the Easter weekend so my granddaughter could perform at the Royal Albert Hall, but were unable to get closer than the Battersea lodge.............we were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get into central London on the buses.......the travelodge was quiet, clean and the staff were very helpful, we rang ahead for directions and were given exact details how to get there, we also asked for directions to the Albert Hall and staff printed off directions for us, would definitely stay again if we were to visit London......Juan and the rest of the reception team were fantastic.....
