Shama and I have just enjoyed our first experience of Sitara. It was the Jazz music that drew me and the excellent Punjabi menu that drew Shama.
Raj the proprietor couldn't be more hospitable. After learning we were vegetarians and not interested in his meat specials he made a kali dal especially for the two of us and served us a tasty tika paneer dish while we waited. The food is excellent value and there is a great wine list too.
The jazz soundtrack made for a great atmosphere. Can't decide if it is more of a jazz bar that serves cracking Punjabi food or an Indian restaurant that plays great jazz in the background.
Loved it, will be returning very soon.
