Masala (not to be confused with Masala Zone around the corner on Earl's Court Road) is a small, inexpensive but quite good Indian restaurant near Earl's Court tube station. Don't expect the least shred of atmosphere. What you'll find is a storefront with a row of tables along one long wall and a large refrigerator case along the other long wall. Food has been prepared and is heated up when ordered, probably what happens in any Indian restaurant but quite visible here. Nevertheless, that food is quite good, as well as being inexpensive. We had onion bhaji and another vegetarian starter, chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, raita, a Diet Coke and a can of Perrier for GBP20 all in. Sauces were flavorful (and different from each other) and spicing was just right with the korma appropriately milder than the chicken tikka masala. Service was good, but we ate early and were the only customers apart from a few friends of the owner drinking coffee and chatting at another table. Masala also does takeaway food, but not clear if delivery is available.
