Having read some of the reviews after I booked, I arrived at the hotel with no great expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from reception and the beautiful surroundings. Agreed the rooms are small as is the bathroom but the cleanliness and quality of the furnishings in both are of a high standard, more than I expected for the price paid. At breakfast there was everything you could have wished for and I can't imagine anyone wanting anything more. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and overall it was an experience that my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed and one which we hope to repeat. We would certainly stay at The Grand Royale London again.

Great location, rooms little bit small but that dose not take away from the hotel itself with the history and grandeur. Shame it does not have a restaurant for evening or bar meals but the breakfast is one of the best and plenty to choose from.

The service from arrival to breakfast is excellent. I cannot fault the breakfast and the rooms are all equipped with what you need to make your stay more comfortable. The extras provided in the price of the room make it very good value for money.
Taxis go up and down outside the door all the time and this helped me come and go with ease in the evening. I was also able to park my car in the street free from 6.30 pm to 8.30 am and if I needed an extra hour this was only an extra £2. so for car drivers like myself it had everything..
I look forward to many more stays to this hotel.
