We were on a visit to London - a party of 92 Brownies and their adult leaders. On a Sunday in September.
Our theatre show didnt start until 3pm, but as we came all the way from Portsmouth we thought we should do something else while in London.
Another adult leader suggested this as a place to visit. The cost of £4.65 per child and £7.40 per adult was easily met from our budget, and we obviously pre-booked so The Royal Mews knew a large group was coming.
We arrived about 10:45am and were quickly processed through the security and got our tour headphones. It was great to see the carriages and cars that we'd seen on TV - most recently for the Jubilee and Royal Wedding. We also saw a couple of horses which pleased a few of the Brownies. The tour only took 45minutes - 1 hour, but that was plenty. Of course all the Brownies had money to spend so we visited the gift shop. Thankyou to the lovely staff in there!
The entire party met around the corner, at the front of Buckingham Palace to walk to St James Park for our picnic lunch. We timed it well to see the soldiers.
This wouldnt be the first place I'd think of to visit in London, but now I know it is there I would recommend to others
