“Could have been better”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

The great things about this hotel is that it's near Earl's Court tube station, there's a supermarket nearby & some restaurants. However, the breakfast was a total no no. The food was horrible and I didn't eat anything for the week I spent there. The biggest problem is that there is no lift and you have to carry your luggage! The sheets were dirty and the shower very small. There's also the horrible smell of mould. I wish it could have been better.

This hotel it located a few minutes from the Earl's Court tube station making this very convenient. There is no lift so that is disappointing when they only have rooms available on the 3rd and 4th floors. The breakfast is traditional continental with very fresh foods available. The lobby was spotless clean which made for a warm welcome. The bathroom was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Definitely a great value for the prime location in London.

Room Tip: Request a low floor room, the hotel does not have a lift and carrying your bags up 3 to 4 flights of...

Stayed here in July 2013 and had 2 rooms booked for our family - when we arrived one room was on ground floor and one on the third floor. There was no lift so we had to carry all luggage up the narrow stairs. The real shock was when we opened the door to our two rooms. The smell of mould was overwhelming! Also there was no air conditioning (as with many hotels in London) but this made the odour even more unbearable. The rooms were very small and very basic and there were no proper curtains on the windows to keep out the light. We suffered thru the night and the very next morning we checked out and went down the road to stay at a much better hotel for the same price. Sorry but this is a 2 star hotel at best and may be suited to backpackers but not at the rates they were charging us....I think this hotel is a health hazard!!

Room Tip: Go elsewhere!

Stayed at the Rushmore for four days. I used the hotel as a base for sightseeing on my own so simply needed somewhere to sleep. The room was small but very clean and quite well maintained. The bathroom was no more than a closet and if you dropped the soap in the shower, it was difficult to pick it up ( I am only 164 cms so am not a large person). Breakfast was also basic. Cereals, toast, yoghurt, some cake. Juice and tea, coffee to drink. It is very close to the tube and has a great variety of restaurants within easy walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if I was in the same circumstances.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Stayed for 1 night attending a conference in Central London.
The hotel was in a good location and was easy to find.
Checkin was easy the hotel lobby was clean.

I was on the top floor, it wasn't an issue as I didn't have any luggage, but it was one climb to the top and the leaning staircase didn't help.

The small double room appeared clean but it felt very stuffy and a bit worn and outdated.
The bathroom en-suite was a good size and the toiletries provided was soap and body-wash. I was afraid to use the body wash as the nozzle was a bit moldy and disgusting on a very rusty shelf. I like a clean bathroom.
The bed wasn't very comfortable, the bed was worn and the springs could be felt. There was a covering about 4ft over the bed which I am sure was dusty which triggered my allergies. I didnt sleep well at all.

There was complimentary tea/coffee.
The reception on the LCD TV wasn't great.

The best part of the hotel was the breakfast. Large bright and clean eating area with a variety of breads, cereals, juices etc.

The staff was friendly and the wifi worked.

Because of my poor sleep, I wouldn't stay here again.

Pros: Continental breakfast served daily, underground is VERY close, great location for London, balcony was nice to have, fan was a nice thing to have since it could get a little warm during the day.

Cons: The room is EXTREMELY small. There was barely room for our luggage.

I recommend this hotel especially if there's only 2 traveling. It's a real tight fit for a family of 4, unless you're just going to sleep here and that's it.
