“Good value for money in nice location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

A great place to stay. Finding a nice room in London for a good price is quite hard. I booked this hotel via booking.com for a very good price including breakfast. The staff is friendly and the location is great. 7 min walking from Bayswater station, easy to get away from there. I will go back.

It was probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in but nevertheless better than a lot of larger ones I've stayed in over the years. Ours was the one directly overlooking the front of the hotel with a large decked balcony complete with wrought iron coffee table & chairs and ornamental plants. The bedroom itself reminds me of a Tardis; It has everything any other hotel room would have but in a quater of the space; It has been annexed at some point in its life from a much larger room of which this was once its corner. The bed has been squeezed into said corner so both of you need to get in/out the same side. The wardrobe and dressing table are all within arms-length from the bed and the Tv has been stitched onto the wall in front of the bed. The window is simply a large wooden framed sash that you climb out of onto the balcony. Enough of the schematics. If you're in Notting Hill in the summer and have a sense of humour this isn't a bad little bolt hole; Summer, because you can open the window and use the balcony to sip coffee and have a cheeky cigarette while you watch a rather sleepy part of Notting Hill do whatever it does. This is on our list of hotels to return to.

Room Tip: I don't really want to give my favourite room away but the one above the front porch was the one...

Very nice experience with my boy-friend. The hotel is located in notting hill the nearest underground stop is bayswater. It's 5 min walk from hide park and Portobello road. Our room was little but confortable. Bathroom small too. Good breakfast. Overall a good hotel I recommend it for young couples it's a good starting point to visit london!

2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

I booked a luxury room and was initially impressed with the standard of the room. It was shortly after that I realised that my room was located at the front of the building on the ground floor. This meant that ALL guests walk past the room to access the stairs and breakfast room. Despite being on a relatively quiet street there was still significant noise from people walking past until the early hours. The blind also fitted the window poorly and I ended up pushing furniture against it to ensure my privacy!

Breakfast was a big let down. The self service continental buffet had a limited selection and an extremely slow toaster. 3 staff stood and chatted the whole time we were in there and seemed quite put out if they had to do anything. Breakfast here reminded me of a cheap budget hotel....very poor!

Only positives were the helpful friendly staff and the good location.

Lovely hotel lovely setting. I spend a lot of time in hotels, but I never sleep as I miss not being next to my wife, however I slept here. I think it's because it has a more homly feel. Large hotels are two mechanical and feel clubersome. The corporate ones are in your face with their logo in the line of sight. How refreshing to stay somewhere different beautiful place, beautiful people.

Small boutique hotel with clean room and bathroom. Small room but sufficient as a base for a short trip. Notting Hill is a lovely neighborhood, but if one were to spend most time in the more central part of town (like me) then the location is not very convenient. With metros and walk to/from Oxford street area, it took me an extra 45-60 minutes every day.

Good central location - very close to underground tube stations - bayswater and queensway. Really nice interior, room was very spacious and at a very good price (stayed on a weekday night). Nicer than other hotels ive stayed in this area. I would stay here again.
