“Beautiful building!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

The world famous Royal Albert Hall is certainly a beautiful sight opposite the picturesque Kensington Gardens.

The venue has an excellent on-site cafe serving high quality food and beverage items. The front of house team are very helpful and well presented, however a little more care and attention should be implemented to boast the customer service of the FOH team to get that star quality. There was no parting comment or friendly greeting which would've been the icing on the cake.

The biggest disappointment is the box office team, they appear to not have a uniform with each box office member wearing a different outfit and no name badge. One of them even wore a plain t-shirt, the box office team were at times a little harsh in their orders to the growing queues of collects. I was quite surprised that after the excellent building and facilities that their box office team are such a let down.

“Magnificent ballet in a grand theatre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

My daughter and I saw "Romeo and Juliet" at the Royal Albert in June 2014. What a fantastic treat! The London Ballet is magnificent, and the theatre-in-the-round style stage of the Royal Albert ensures a fabulous view of the stage. It is as beautiful a theatre in person as the photos we'd seen, and we were fortunate to get last-minute tickets to an almost sold-out show. I look forward to returning for another show someday.

“Loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

We did a tour of this building and it is amazing. There is a coffee shop if want a refreshment and just near there is a new mural. This mural covers most famous people who have performed in the hall. Walking into the hall itself was quite daunting. We sat in the box next to the royal box and were told how it is "dressed" when the queen attends. We were also shown the private room the queen goes to before and after a performance. Along the corridors are many pictures of performers. I would recommend doing a tour of the hall.

“Awards evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

I have attended the RAH for our organisations Awards evenings in past years but never reviewed the venue before.

The event in 2014 (sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover) was spectacular, the RAH staff were professional throughout and the venue was dressed amazingly, the new Jaguar and Range Rover on stage made it for me. Food was good but the meal was disrupted by the over-running of the Awards announcements.

Drinks are expensive (House Wines £27.50 and £5 for a bottle of beer) but to be expected.

Glad we continue to use this venue for our event.

“Afternoon Tea Tour (including gluten free!)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

As theater geeks, we really enjoyed this front-of-house tour of the Royal Albert Hall. It's interesting to us to learn about different performance halls. We would have loved to get a backstage tour, too, but those appear to be rare. The Afternoon Tea Tour is expensive, but the tea (our first!) was lovely. It was a formal high tea following the venue tour. Some of the items available were a little unusual, but we tried everything. One member of our party has a gluten/wheat allergy and we had made arrangements in advance for them to have something she could eat. They were very accommodating, and had a full gluten-free spread with scones and sandwiches just for her. Someday we'll have to attend a performance there.
