“After Buckingham Palace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

It was a busy day... we visited many thing but Green Park was right after Buckingham Palace visit. I walk it through and after that I headed to Hyde Park which I think was nicer.
Take your time and leave parks for sunny days

“Green Park - The smallest of the Royal Parks”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

Green Park is the smallest of the Royal Parks in London, being just 40 acres of green space, located just northeast of the larger St. James Park and just north of Buckingham Palace.

Green Park has a more rural feel to it compared to nearby St. James Park, which features a nice lake and gardens and generally more manicured environs. At Green Park you will find more isolated environs, featuring some rolling terrain, more mature trees and large stretches of long grass. At times, you do get the sense that you have somehow wandered into the countryside and are no longer in the centre of London.

In addition to the nice walking and hiking environments, there are monuments in Green Park that are worth seeing, including the Canada Memorial (1994) found near the Canada Gate and access point to Buckingham Palace. You can also see also see the recently added Bomber Command Monument (2012) at the west end of Green park.

Overall, not our favourite of the Royal Parks but a nice place to spend time when you are needing a break from the crowds, traffic, noise and general busyness of London. You can visit Green Park conveniently before or after Buckingham Palace.

“Squirrel heaven”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

This park is one of the smallest in London, but it has loads of squirrels and birds. You walk through it to get from the tube to Buckingham Palace. There is also a great creeps stall here.

“The Nicest of Central Royal Parks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

Working between Hyde Park and Green Park, I will quite often visit one of the Central London Royal Parks during lunchtime for a stroll or run. I love all the Royal Parks; they're an asset to the City. However, I'd have to say Green Park is my favourite due to its undulating topography and slightly wilder horticulture. There are larger areas of longer grass and rough borders allowing wild flowers and insects to populate, which is really nice to see on a hot summers day. The park is bordered on most sides by busy roads, so it's rarely the quietest park but it does have a unique charm.
