Owner description: Most of this iconic building was built in the mid-19th century following a devastating fire in 1834. Westminster Hall survived the fire and dates from 1097. Visitors can book tours through the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and are welcome to watch debates and committees when the Houses are sitting.

“Fascinating tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

This is a great tour that I would highly recommend. You are not only touring a museum and a iconic piece of history, but an actual working goverment. Our tour guide was very entertaining and informative. My wife and I also opted for "high tea" after the tour, and it was well worth the extra cost.

The gothic style building is stunning and a true landmark of London! The tower is magnificent and well kept! Shame it always seems to be scaffolded when i go but it's still wonderful to see. Always busy too

“FASCINATING”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

I was unable to tour The Houses of Parliament the day I rocked up........apparently this is only possible on Saturdays or when Parliament is not sitting. However, I was able to observe the debating in the House of Commons and really enjoyed this. Maybe I'm a bit of a nerd but I stayed there for three hours and thought it was interesting.

“Nice to have friends in 'high places'!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

I met an old friend who is now an MP so had a lovely drink on the Terrace followed by lunch and an encounter with David Cameron. But even without all this.. just walking through the big hall and standing at the Central Lobby, etc is an amazing experience! SO much history!!
