“Good value in convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

We booked this as it had parking - we had an event in Chiswick and then wanted to travel into central London on the Sunday to take advantage of parking on single yellows. It was very easy to get to the hotel from the M4 - access to the car park is quite narrow and the parking is not bookable, so probably best to book in early if you want to guarantee a space. It is also pretty near tube stations and a good bus service.

Booking in was easy and the room was clean (although not that big), with a good shower. The bed was firm - initially, the room was a bit too warm but the air-conditioning worked well to cool it down. Breakfast was fairly basic, and only two toasters for a fairly full hotel and busy service was not enough - but plentiful. We got an advance non-refundable room rate of £124 and this seems pretty good value for two including breakfast in a convenient location -just don't expect luxury!

Stayed just one night fortunately.Room was very hot during the night even with window open.No a/c just a fan .Limited TV channels .No BBC1 ,ITV1 etc..Bath took ages to fill.
Very poor buffet breakfast. No fresh fruit just tinned peaches & pineapple.Luke warm scrambled eggs and cheap sausages. No bacon.Stacks of industrial sliced bread.
Not worth the £122/night weekend advanced booking rate.

This hotel is very well located for my purposes but my second visit was less satisfactory than my first because of the room I was given.

I'd booked a single room and was given room 17 at the front of the hotel. It was clean but cramped and shabby and the traffic noise made it hard to sleep at night. I asked to be moved and was given room 11 which was quieter and much nicer.

Recently stayed two nights over Bank Hol weekend period. All very positive. Comfortable, clean room (we were in Room 20 at back), newish looking shower/bathroom. Everything in the room worked as you'd expect. All as described 'on the tin' - free wi fi, parking, plus cooked self serve breakfast. Hotel is basically three separate, detached Victorian buildings in a semi 'suburban' setting yet v close to chic Chiswick cafes, bars and shops. Turnham Green tube 5 mins away. Thames Path (several riverside pubs, interesting historic riverside houses, etc) 10 mins away. Felt it was v good value for money for a mid-range type of hotel in SW London. Not too noisy at night (even at front of hotel probably). Bus routes outside, Hammersmith Cineworld a few stops away. Metro living without big city prices!

Room Tip: Rooms at back are quieter. Recommend High Road Bistro nearby for good food and a continental feel.

I stayed here 3 nights during a business trip in London. The fee was around 160 pounds / night for sgl without breakfast. In this money i got:
- one room with 3 beds! (When you are alone is not quite the best arrangement to feel good)
- the room (no 2) was placed between the entrance in the hotel, the reception and the breakfast room. This means that, when i was in the room trying to sleep, i was aware of all the people that I came in the hotel, got out of the hotel, all the directions the tourists got on the corridor, all the discussions about the flyers exposed by the door and, not the least, of all the preparations for the breakfast, every morning, around 6:00. Also, i could well hear the neighbour from the room above.
- not only that the room was placed as discribed above, but the door was old (as the rest of the room) with holes through which you could see the corridor (near the locker and beneath the door) - see the picture
- no attention to functionalities: the soap disposal was placed in the right side of the sink (as most of us are right-hand) but right next to the shower glass which mean you have to use your left hand etc; the tv was not straight etc
- the breakfast was only with eggs, tomatos (not fresh), beans etc - english breakfast, poor and basic. The only good thing for me: tea facilities incl in the room, with biscuits.
There is a nice garden, indeed, if you plan to spend time outside, in the hotel and a nice terrace. My colleague received a room in another building, very close, in the opposite side of the garden (no 61) which was in a much better condition and better positioned. But my case was an unfortunate one, unacceptable for this rate!

Selected this hotel on the basis that I was visiting someone who lives in Chiswick for a couple of days, for a catch-up and spending time visiting a few sights in London.
The hotel was very handy, being easily found on the high street and well placed for a number of underground stations, places to eat etc. A definite plus was the handy parking. The room was small but nice and clean. The breakfast wasn't the best - no bacon, the cooked food (sausages, scrambled & fried eggs, beans) were not kept warm despite having warmers underneath the dishes, the croissants were cheap, supermarket, mass-produced and continental visitors would definitely not have been impressed! The hot drinks machine was good, however.
Would stay again as the hotel was good value for money...

This hotel ticks nearly all the boxes if you are using it for a short stay. Conveniently located to main roads, bus routes and underground. Even has it's own car park which makes it worth staying here whatever. The staff well what to say-truly fantastic and I don't say that often. They even offered to carry the case to the room. Breakfast was buffet style which worked well and a member of the fantastic staff was on hand if required. The food was varied enough with a range of hot and cold dishes. The room was on the smallish size but was well decorated and clean.

Room Tip: Phone ahead to check on the car park arrangement.
