“Hot nights in london”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

No airconditioning so the room stayed in the high 80's all night maybe 90's even though the outside temperature was only 63. No closets to put your clothes in and my wife and I lived literally out of our suitcases for 9 days.

What really makes this hotel are the lovely welcoming staff, friendly, helpful and polite. On top of this the room are clean and functional, beds are really comfy and breakfast is good too. The position is good, and the prices are very reasonable for town.

Great hotel, excellent location, very friendly staff always on hand wishing us well.
Shame about the noise from the Marriott hotel's outside airconditioning unit, kept my wife and me awake. Hotel did immediately refund the night's stay cost .... and I only mentioned the noise, I didn't ask for the 'money back' .... very good policy. No aircon in the rooms, that's a pain.

Will go back again!

Arrived lunch time to a warm and friendly greeting. I was shown to the self-checkin and helped seamlessly through the 2 minutes check inn. Excusing the necessary 'hard sell' options of meals and news papers, the process was quick and made much easier by the helpful staff. Checked in and directed to my room which was clean and well presented and as there advert states, provided a good night sleep. No need to ask for my money back, which was an option! Breakfast was lovely and in abundance, self service as you'd expect but helpful and friendly staff, all of whom had genuine smiles. Came in late that evening again to a friendly reception. Overall, can't wait to visit here again.

A wonderful weekend break with members of our family. The check-in was excellent and the staff did their best to give us rooms together and allowed us all to occupy our rooms one hour early. The rooms are a good size, ours was very large, well fitted out and immaculately clean. The one disappointment was that at 1.00p.m. on a Saturday lunchtime the restaurant was closed. An excellent location at the back of London County Hall at an acceptable price for a prime London location right by the London Eye on the Southbank opposite Westminster. A pity no air conditioning as the secondary double glazing which cuts out all noise has to be closed at night to avoid the general London hum.

location , location this has got it, next to the eye, not important to us but central to walk along the embankment cross Westminster bridge etc. to other landmarks. pretty basic hotel no frills very clean comfortable bed. can be noisy on a week end we were there 3 nights. wonderful cheerful staff at front though cant call it a counter they are available. soo helpful wth any issue, safe didn't work in the bedroom but they can make this available to you in the office. felt safe here wonderful breakfast great selection just take the package in the first place so you don't have to pay every day separately did sit in the bar in evening as well great staff.

This is your typical Premier Inn, but it's location makes it very special. It is right in the heart of tourist London at the back of the old County Hall, right next to the eye. It's nothing special but it is clean and comfortable. Rooms are a bit on the small side and you do feel that you are sleeping in a converted office but that is because you are. Beds are comfortable with decent pillows. Shower is hot and powerfull. TV shows most freeview channels but if you are sitting in your hotel room in London watching TV, you are a bit sad. Breakfast is great value on an all you can eat buffet basis with decent Costa coffee. Staff are friendly and happy to help, we left a bag there all day from 8am till midnight when we checked in, no problem. The only tiny down side is that there is no air con in this building, just heating. They do provide fans and the windows do open to get some air flow, but if you must have air, go elsewhere. perfect tourist hotel, will use again and again.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same.
