“Alhambra for value and convenience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

We stayed 2 nights 6th March & 26th Feb.
6th March 2013 was best as we were in Room 3 on ground floor & didn’t have to carry 2 heavy bags up two floors. A very comfortable bed!
However both occasions we found the rooms very clean and practically laid out with all facilities needed.
Very impressed with breakfast at 5.15 am on the first night and good full breakfast on the 6th March.
Overall very adequate with excellent, pleasant & helpful staff. We will definitely recommend hotel to our friends. Extremely convenient location close to Euston, Kings Cross and St Pancras stations

Room Tip: Rooms are quiet for London. No 3 was good size but had underground noise although this did not keep...

Give this hotel a go if you are travelling from Kings Cross or St Pancras or Euston.

Nice little hotel with an excellent breakfast. The rooms, yes they are basic but clean and tidy and certainly good enough for a short stay. We weretravelling onto Paris and with going on an early train, asked and got a quiet room. Although not ensuite it did not matter as facilities were on the same floor.

If I ever go to London again I would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Great hotel for travellers moving on and on a budget

The hotel is basic and rooms are very small, but overall clean and in a very convenient location.
We had a misunderstanding with them about the taxi they were supposed to book and never arrived at the airport; but they cared to apologised, come talk to us and explain and save us a little money on commission for the credit card payment.
Overall an ok experience.

Location. Clean. Friendly staff. Free and good WIFI. Breakfast included and satisfactory. The rooms are small and the street outside is noisy but for this price I don't think you can do better in London.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the street and especially not on the ground level.

We stayed at the Alhambra close to Kings Cross station for just one night on a stop over on our way to France via the Eurostar. We had two rooms as there were 3 of us. Rooms were neat and tidy, very small and basic but clean. The Hotel is a bit like a rabbit warren, lots of doors and tiny hall ways where it is a little difficult to manage suitcases, but this is the UK. Price was very reasonable and as we were leaving at 6.30am the next morning and couldn't take advantage of the included full breakfast, the staff put together a continental breakfast for us which was much appreciated. I would recommend this Hotel for it's close proximity to the train station (Kings Cross & St Pancras), it's price and cleanliness.

Room Tip: You can hear the trains running underneath the Hotel, but we were so tired it didn't bother us.

Had basement room in adjacent building with big window on streetside. Noisy, but I'm in Central london, if I'd wanted quiet I would have stayed home. Small room but easy to move around for two. Two beds, 1 double 1 single. Room very clean, bathroom small but clean and functional -demand hot water which was nice. Good lighting, bright and up to date for an old building. Lots of accessible plugs which doesn't seem common in hotel rooms. A few steps from kings cross station which is one of the stops on the piccadilly line to heathrow. But still off the main drag so away from the masses of people. Lots of small restaurants of every type in the area. Good breakfast in cozy breakfast room in main building. English or continental served to you. Staff exceptionally nice and efficient. Felt like I was in an Agatha Christie movie. Paid a decent price but got a clean, functional, secure room with great food. Worth it!

Room Tip: Ask for room off the street if you must have quiet. (Asked to rate swimming pool- didn't see on...

As even the smaller room was a bit expensive for my purse, it was worth it.

I made one comment that was taken serious and was appreciated: put the bed away 10 cm from a very cold outer wall. Although the room is of a minimum size it should be possible to change the position of the bed a bit.

Room Tip: You chose this hotel mainly for its TOP location near the St.Pancras international and national rail...
