“It made me feel like a giant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I stayed at this hotel because I had to renew my passport at the Passport Office near Victoria Station in London. The photographs on their website attracted my eye, it looked pretty good.
However, the entire hotel is like a 75% scale of a hotel - it's all tiny. The dining tables, the rooms, shower, etc.
For people who have visited London this will not be a surprise - hotel rooms are usually minuscule. So don't let my note put you off - it's a very typical London Hoel (except it it's well run unlike many London gaffs)
And the staff were great - really friendly and helpful and not in a 'I've been trained to smile' way.

The hotel rung all the right bells - good check-in, comfortable bed, english breakfast. I would say that the hotel is tightly run (read - staff pared to the bone) so it takes 20 minutes to get 2 fried eggs but they were good eggs.
The hotel was chIc, clean and right where I needed it to be.

Ecclestone Square is 5 minutes walk from Victoria Station and 15 minutes walk to many well known landmarks - like the Thames.

It didn't look like it was suitable for wheelchair users.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking Eccestone Square park - maybe they all do, I don't know. I would also sa...

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights in a Superior King room with a balcony at Eccleston Square for a birthday weekend in London and it was the perfect choice. First of all there was free parking all weekend directly outside the hotel, which was one hasstle instantly avoided Following a night out at Fabric on the Friday we came back to the perfect hotel room to relax in for the rest of the day. The stay was worth it just for the bed. It's quite literally the comfiest thing ever - every part adjusts using a remote control (so you can find the perfect tv viewing position) and the vibrating function soothed away all our aches from dancing all night. As for the huge tv, we were delivered 3D viewing glasses (not the ones that flicker and make you feel ill I might add) and as many 3D films as we felt like watching (all included in the price of the room, ordered via an iPad, and delivered super quick to your door). The mini bar was well stocked, and there's a Sainbury's down the road anyway if you needed it. The bathroom is sectioned off from the rest of the room with electric privacy glass that you can switch from clear to opaque and the shower was lovely. We ordered room service and ate on the balcony with a nice view overlooking the gardens opposite. The room is small, granted, but for us it made no difference whatsoever, especially with the extra room on the balcony. We would have liked to try the restaurant, as the a la carte looked good, but we already had other arrangements for dinner on Saturday. Loved it - will be back.

The Eccleston Square hotel seems to have been designed to accommodate fairy folk - so small are the rooms.

The fact that the bed fills all of the available space isn't the real issue, The fact that there's no space for bags of any size is a little more bothersome.

I spent most of the time in the hotel clambering over bags, or bed or shoes in a desperate bid to reach the 'walk in sideways' bathroom or shower.

Yes the tech' features are nice but in truth they're not really nice enough to compensate for what's essentially a cell.

Check in staff were nice, breakfast a disaster (long waits, no gluten free option - and guys serving regular toast to a celiac and claiming that it's gluten free is a dangerous no-no) and the other guests noisy (beyond the hotel's control I know but there was a noise issue)

Overall it felt as though I was paying 'real hotel' prices for 'monopoly hotel' space

Not a bad option for the agoraphobic but not really adult sized

We stayed for 6 nights. We quite liked it. It was clean, modern, fully electronic, and the neighbourhood was very quiet. WiFi was blazingly fast and no kids allowed. Complementary water & munchies. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to Victoria Coach Station and a 5-10 minute walk to Victoria Underground/Train Station. There are a few nice restaurants just to the west. We opted for the "City Queen" which was very tight in space and had a puny closet. We hardly had room to move around and were tripping over each other. We didn't spent a lot of time there, so it was alright. Next time would upgrade to the Signature King (just looking at the pictures from their website indicates how much more roomy it is).

Room Tip: Go for the Signature King room if you can afford it.

Excellent location. Small room, but very well designed and pretty cool and funky. Small problem with the blind. A little noise from outside but this is central London. Shower but no bath. Excellent staff - really helpful. Room service was really high quality as well. Will definitely return

Extremely clean, lovely staff, good location for all. Great bed, brilliant bathroom. Loads of funky modern technical bits to stay entertained for your stay. It's a hotel your really going to be knit picky to find things remotely worth complaining about. Stayed in their signature room.

With the exchange rate the way it is, it was a big hole in the budget to stay in London close to Victoria Station and near/in the very pleasant Belgravia area. The Eccleston Square Hotel is located on a very-London looking street, built around a square with gorgeous looking terrace-style buildings.

The room I had was really tiny, and the bathroom even more so. While they had larger rooms, my budget just couldn't justify it (because of the exchange rate), so I spent the three nights basically shuffling into the room, into bed, into the bathroom etc. There was nowhere to set-up the computer comfortably - other than on your lap in bed - and nowhere to put bathroom essentials (such as toothbrush & toothpaste) or even to put my one small piece of hand luggage.

Despite that, it was an enjoyable stay because it was for the weekend and I spent much of it outside the room exploring (despite the weather), which is what you'd have to do if you stayed in the same category of room. I also think it would be impossible to stay with another person as there just wouldn't be space!

One of the great features of the hotel internally is it's very tech-savvy so you can do almost everything on an in-room iPad including ordering room service, controlling the curtains, TV, lights etc. It was loads of fun to use - other than when my dinner room service turned-up when I ordered it one time (5.30pm) other than the 7.30pm I had actually asked for. They offered to take it back but I couldn't waste a hot meal like that.

The staff were mostly eastern European and very friendly and helpful.

I would return because it was a nice hotel in a good location BUT not until the exchange rate improves and I could afford a bigger room, and particularly if I had my other half with me.
