“Good Location for Olympia, shame about everything else”

'Garden' room, very cold, stinky drain in shower, cold boiled egg for breakfast, early breakfast arranged with reception was 'impossible' I was told when I went to investigate why it was running late...
General air of zero maintenance, poor care, unsupervised staff - a rip-off in all.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else

Just a warning, I slept almost nothing the 1 night I stayed here and that tainted my whole experience.

I stayed here one night to do some business in London, I arrived at about 22:00 in the evening and left the next morning. So literally just a bed and breakfast.

The room (and the hotel in general) was REALLY warm and there was just no way I could figure out that time of the night to get my room to cool down. There is a air con control, but clearly the system was shut down (it is autumn after all...), the window will only open with about a 1 cm gap. It was just one very long night spent in equatorial temperatures with none of the pleasant drinks or beaches. My Lip Ice melted !!

The only memorable thing about breakfast was the fact that they managed to open a window in the breakfast area. Cold boiled egg, not that fresh croissant...

The room was really small. I stayed in a single room and I've had bathrooms double the size in reasonable hotels, but I don't actually have a major problem with that, there is the cost benefit.

I do have a problem with the fact they've crammed in so much in the minuscule room (I assume to tick the relevant list to get the stars) that I can't use the desk (for example).

Didn't try the internet, so can't comment on that.

The bathroom. Nice shower, good water pressure and no problem with warm water. No toilet roll holder (?!?!?!) toiler paper is found on the handle of the toiler brush..... Careful when you open the basin tap, water sprays all over your front.

I get the impression that none of the managers or owners have ever stayed in one of these rooms.

Room Tip: There is a Hilton around the corner.....

For the shows in the Olympia Center this is a perfect location. Unfortunately the service is very poor! I forgot my electric toothbrush, e-mailled them, they have found it, but refuse to send it to me, even on my own costs! Besides that the wifi connectiion is very slow and with a lot of hick ups.

Like many of the other reviews state, rooms at the Russell Court are indeed small, however they are stocked with everything you could possibly need and the room is incredibly clean. The bed was a double and was very, very comfortable, there was a safe, a mini fridge, a kettle for tea or coffee in the morning and a large flat screen TV. The continental breakfast is really good and the staff was on hand to refill anything that was running low. Staff at the front desk were very helpful upon check in. The only minor irritant was we asked them to call us a cab when we checked out and when the cab arrived it was un-metered and the driver only took cash.
That said, the location could not have been more convenient. It's only about two blocks to the Kensington/Olympia Tube station and just a block off of Kensington/Hammersmith road, which is lined with many restaurants, banks, cafes, etc. Well valued hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room on the first floor, which was quiet and we rarely heard other guests. The window opene...

I stayed here due to its close proximity to London Olympia (less than 5 minute walk). The hotel is small, but is clean and tidy. I was on the third floor, so was happy to see the hotel had a lift to save me lugging my case up all the steps!

I had a single room, and though it had everything I needed, including tea/coffee making facilities, it was extremely cramped and the room was incredible hot. The walls between the rooms are extremely thin as I could hear conversations between other guests.

The breakfast was fine, and items were continuously replenished.

It's a good hotel for the price, but I would look elsewhere next time.

Stayed here due to close proximity to London Olympia & found the location extremely convenient for the conference centre (2 minute walk). Hotel itself is okay, clean rooms, good shower & nice touch to have shower gels etc provided, tea/coffee making facilities also very useful. Downside is that the walls between the rooms must be extremely thin as I could clearly hear conversations between guests staying in a room upstairs & I was very aware of the person in the room next door. I also found the room & hotel itself to be extremely hot. Continental breakfast is good though & staff in breakfast room were very polite. All in all this isn't a bad hotel given the costs elsewhere in London & it served its purpose for a night.

Stayed here just for one night before the Royal Park half marathon. Quite a convenient location for the west end of London.
The room was small although clean and tidy. The decoration could have been better, looked like a lot of jobs were half finished, especially the wi-fi boxes hanging off the walls.
The rooms were well heated and there was plenty of hot water, this is a budget hotel but if you are looking to rest your head in central London without paying a fortune then I would recommend it.
Breakfast was included in the price

Room Tip: Lift really small... take the stairs
