“Nicely laid out museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

This is a very small museum at Horseguards Parade. The building is great and you'll want to come and see the mounting/dismounting ceremony so you should also take an hour and walk through the history of the cavalry guards.

It is worth the short amount of time and small donation - I figured I was also contributing to what I was seeing outside in the yard.

“An affordable, entertaining and informative afternoon!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We started by watching the guards changing on the hour. Then went into the museum. The museum was really informative with loads of really interesting things to look at and read about. I loved being able to see through into the stable area where the horses were and trying on the helmets the most! After we'd looked around the museum for about 1 hour we went out to watch the inspection of the guard. This was really enjoyable and lasted from about 3.55-4.10pm.
I think the museum was fantastic value and really entertaining. Needs a toilet though!!

Another little gem. Good price to enter. Reduction applied. Right on Horse guards parade. Able to view behind the scenes with ease and very good information.

“Tradition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

The Household Cavalry is one of the things you think about when you visit London.
Beefeaters, Bobbies, Red phone boxes and the Mounted soldiers who guard our sovereign.
You get a chance to try on some kit and look at some fantastic pieces of the two regiments history, a history that is older than any other regiment and steeped in proud tradition and royal pomp.

“Don't miss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

I went down on one of the warmest days of Spring yet. Watched the changing of the guards and then into the museum. Enjoyed see how the Horse Guard came about and what the normal day looks like. They training that both horse and guard go through it amazing. Wosh I could have seen them in the Trooping of the Colors :-(
