“Excellent place to stay,”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

very clean and smart hotel to stay in, nice bar for large and small groups,
very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast,

getting tea and coffee at breakfast proved difficult and one day of my 3 days I failed to get a hot drink at breakfast, despite lots of staff fussing around. Though the quality and choice of breakfast foods, cooked uncooked was excellent.

We had an excellent room for the handicapped here. Bathroom was well fitted out, and room was spacious. There was a lot of help in the hotel, and all were polite and accommodating. There are many different bus routes close by as well as the Great Portland Street tube station. Regents Park is a few steps away. It has beautiful plantings and a lovely playground.

We recently stayed at the Melia for 10 days. The hotel is beautifully renovated and in a perfect location. The staff was superb, and surpassed our expectations. We upgraded to a superior room, which was very comfortable, especially since we stayed 10 days. We also signed up for the breakfast in the Level lounge, which included all day coffee (expresso machine) service, beverages, fruits, and cookies. In the evenings, there were wonderful tapas to munch on before dinner. The lounge staff was very attentive and very friendly. The concierge and guest services, as well as the front attendants, were always friendly and very helpful. The hotel is in Regents Park, a beautiful area of London, and very convenient to all other locations. We toured the city via the metro, and never were concerned about arriving late to the hotel due to the safe and well lit area. The hotel is located in a beautiful area near Regents Park and the London Zoo.

This is a Nice 4-stars hotel. It is not too close to London city centre, but located in a quiet area near the Regent Parks. Still very convenient to the Great Portland Street underground station for transportation to other areas. Polite staff, especially some lady staff are standing nearby the lifts at the lobby to greet you and provide some guidance of the direction for your room if needed. Wonderful breakfast and restaurant. Room is very clean and well furnished. Overall, worth to stay

I was hesitant to stay at the Melia White House, having read a number of reviews regarding slow check-in, small rooms and a busy, ill-managed breakfast buffet. However, I had a voucher for a free stay, so I couldn’t turn it down and made the reservation expecting the worst. To my surprise, I had a VERY friendly, professional and fast check-in and check-out. The breakfast buffet was well managed (no wait to be seated both days), clean, well organized, and well stocked—with an enormous variety of delicious food. My room was clean and spacious; and my request for an “accessible” room was honored by the reception at check-in (I was nearly 9 months pregnant during my stay)—no fuss. The hotel was central, well located, in a safe neighborhood, with a one minute walk to the nearest subway station. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay at Melia White House again. (fyi: we were 2 people in a classic room. 2 nights’ stay).

We stayed here for 2 days prior to taking a cruise out of London. Hotel is conveniently located near 3 different subway stops and was easy to get to from the Paddock train station. Very nice hotel for the cost in London where rooms can get pretty pricey. Room was clean and comfortable. Ask for a room with an outside view into the back of the hotel which is a nice residential area.

Amazing hotel. We stayed here to go to the darts and do a little sightseeing.
Its a lovely hotel in a lovely location. Walking around the hallways is like being on a cruise ship.
The building and decoration is amazing. The prices are a little high, but it is London.
The rooms are spacious for a city center hotel. The have thought of everything...even a little sewing kit, which we had to use!
All round good luxury hotel in a good location.
