“Great location good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

We booked a classic room for one night and had read reviews about small rooms however we were kindly upgraded to superior room which was lovely and spacious and very comfortable. Very clean bathroom with nice big bath and accessories.
The hotel is few minutes walk from tube and 15 minute walk from Oxford street. It is also overlooking regents park so very good location.
I would have given hotel 5 out 5 however the breakfast let the hotel down. The choice is good but it was only lukewarm and cold by time I had finished. The tea was also cold and the replacement was only slightly better. I see this has been commented on before and a shame nothing has changed. All in all would choose to stay here again. Staff very courteous and helpful and a pleasure to be a guest

A brilliant location, across the road from the tube, in walkign distance to oxford street. Surrounded by lovely pubs and restaurants. Huge superior rooms and excellent service.
Immaculately clean and welcoming.
Only criticism would be the lack of a decent hairdryer in the rooms!

Stayed at this hotel beginning of Feb with parents. The bedrooms were a decent size and very clean. Beds were very comfortable, the double bed was the size of two singles put together. The bathroom was a good size. Only disappointment was the hairdryer, it was not a proper hairdryer but simliar to the type which is found at public swimming pools.

Breakfast was very good with a great selection of food but could be doing with hotter coffee at times.

Overall the staff are very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff were excellent.

The hotel is well placed with a 20 minute walk from Kings Cross railway station and 2 minutes from the underground.

A very good stay and would definitely return to the hotel if I was visiting London again.

We have just spent a night at this fab hotel and I cannot recommend it enough. Very polite staff, our room was just a classic double but was a good size with a HUGE comfy bed. They have a great system with the lifts where you enter your floor and it sends you to a specific lift that is always ready for you, so cool. Our only slight criticism would be the fairly long Que. to check in and out, if that was sorted then this hotel would be perfect We stayed at the Mayfair last time and this hotel is so much better on every level, should be 5*

Once we were offered the twin room that we’d actually reserved and paid for, rather than the tiny broom cupboard with one bed which the hotel thought we should have instead, we ended up enjoying this hotel. Granted, the twin room was rather compact, but this is London, remember, where hotel rooms tend to be small. But the room was nicely appointed, well-equipped, in good shape, had free Wi-Fi, and we were comfortable.

Check-in at reception, and our room-change, were painfully slow, but check-out was fast and efficient. Staff were unfailingly courteous, and service in the well-managed comfortable lounge-bar was efficient. The buffet breakfast was excellent in terms of choice and quality. The hotel is conveniently situated, almost opposite Great Portland Street underground, and no more than a 10 minute walk from Euston.

I recommend, and would certainly stay there again – but just make sure they don’t try and fob you off with an inferior room.
