What a lovely time we had at Rubens over the weekend of 2 / 3 October; we'd been before and knew we'd be looked after and we were correct. The staff were very attentive to our needs, the room, whilst small (as expected in an old central London hotel) was spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable and the food, in the Cavalier Bar, pre-theatre Friday, the Library Restaurant (Saturday evening) and the Old Masters for breakfast, was wonderfully tasty and served with care.
We had a small issue with a bottle of wine, whereby having asked for it to be kept from Friday to Saturday evening, we were told that unfortunately it hadn't been and were served with one glass from the bar, when we pointed out that we wouldn't have saved a single glass there was no argument or further discussion just another glass promptly served
It's not cheap, our dinner with wine was just under £200 but save your money and treat yourself to "A Rubens", we have many times before and will again!!!
