Arrived at Regency Hotel and was not even greeted with a 'hello or smile'. Felt like we did not belong there as when other guests arrived after us they were given the full service..... It gets worse. My husband provided our details and asked to pay. He explained that he had already paid through Expedia but they said they needed to investigate. This investigation took almost an hour. Talk about fuming. We were extremely tired after a 24 hour flight and then to have this. Gets worse. Finally we get a room and guess what it has 2 single beds.... The man who helped us with our luggage (the only one there with a smile and exceptional service) said to call the reception. We did while he waited with us and no answer. We called 3 times and no answer. Finally I had enough and went back only to wait again in and be served with no apology and given a key to a new room 2 doors down. I was not impressed. During our stay the staff were not friendly or welcoming. Gets worse... On leaving we were subjected to a foul mouth manager who abused a staff member in front of us. To think this could have been a great place to stay minus the rude staff. Room was nice, but we had a view of the back, which was a gutter path and rather small. Won't stay there again. Saw much nicer hotels in London. This hotel needs to lift its professional standards....
