“Good Budget Option”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Excellent Location, only a 5 minute walk from the Underground.

Single room was tiny so for only 5 pound extra they Booked me into a double room. Room and bathroom was very clean.
Price was inclusive of breakfast and they have 24hrs tea and coffe facilities in the breakfast lounge.
Room was cleaned evey morning and they replace towels in the bathroom everyday.

One negative I have for this hotels is the staff at the reception are extremely rude pe

Room Tip: If you are a solo traveller, pay a little extra and upgrade to a double or twin room.

Great location for Earl's Court Exhibition Centre & Earl's Court Tube Station!
There were plently of amenities, bars, resurants and supermarket close by.
Hotel room was a bit dark (basement) and the window had been left open, so it took ages for the room to warm up a bit!! Room was clean, bathroom could have been better (hair on the floor!) Carpets a bit worn and net curtains definately could have done with a wash!!! Bed was like sleeping on the floor, it was so hard that I woke numerous times feeling very stiff!! Very uncomfortable!!
Reception staff very helpful and pleasant throught stay and Breakfast Staff a bit surly!! ( A smile wouldn't hurt girls!!)
Continental breakfast was adequate, but I would have preferred a cooked breakfast!! I think tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been preferrable, but was available in the Breakfast Room at any time.
The stay was ok just for one night, but for more than that, Hmmm!!! No definately not!

This hotel is in a great location at the junction of Earls Court road and Cromwell Road. 5 mintes walk from Earls Court Tube station and the exhibition centre. Lots of good bars and restaurants nearby.

Reception staff were very helpful throughout the stay. The hotel is basic but given the price, especially during the Olympics not unreasonable. The room was small but clean. Double bed, fan, tv and some storage space. Toilet small but shower and bath were clean. The net curtains could do with a wash and the carpet had seen better days. There is a lift. No tea a coffee facilities in room but it is available in breakfast room 24 hours a day.

Breakfast was basic but was waitress service. Again it was better than most budget hotels.

Overall this is a good base given its location and price. Ideal for a short break but might feel a bit claustrophobic for a prolonged stay.

Pleasant location with Earls Court Tube Station about 5 mins walk. Room was a good size but did smell of stale tobacco. Room was clean with good size shower. Breakfast was adequate with choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bacon, cheese and toast. Receptionist was very welcoming but breakfast staff rather surly and abrupt. That said, would stay there again.

The hotel lacked much hot water in the showers and breakfast was raher basic but it did he trick. I do not have any way to judge hotels in the UK but I had thought I would at least have a more visually appealing room for nearly 100 pounds. Location was superb, though, and the staff tried to help out when possible.

We were here in december 2010. The location of the hotel is great - Earl's Court station is a short walk away (6 min), lots of restaurants nearby. Our room was very small, but clean and cosy. We had a clean bathroom with a bathtub, and a small flatscreen tv. In order to get the remote control, you have to go to the front desk and pay a small fee - which you get back if you return the remote control. Breakfast was alright. We were there during the winter, so the heating was on, but it became too hot in our room and we couldn't turn the heating off. That's the only negative thing I have to mention. And we could open the window, so it wasn't that bad after all. Considering how much we paid, I was very pleased with our stay and would definitely come back.

Oliver hotel is the perfect example of the mediocre traditional hotel. The rooms are a bit gloomy (there are worrying paintings on the walls), not very clean (i found a brown stain on the towel) and you must pay if you want to watch the tv.The breakfast is included but even the restaurant is dull. However, the staff is warm and internet is free at all time.
A bit expensive.
