Had an exhibition at Excel so access on DLR was great, breakfast was also very well done. Only disappointing point was the quality of the small bedroom with some poor fittings and generally quite worn down.

Family (wife and I with teenage daughter ) stayed 5 nights in first week of September.
We wer able to catch the Tube from Heathrow and get there in a little over na ohour with only one change. (hint use the S. Kensington or Hammersmith stops rather than Acton which is too busy when carting luggage). Excellent location as it is within a few blocks of Tube, Hop On Hop Off bus tour stop, city buses, St Katherine Docks for touring the Thames and of course the London Tower. There are a Pub and a restaurant within a couple of blocks (We had breakfast one day at Brasserie Blanc which has the best Lattes. We had a dinner and a breakfast at Liberty Bounds and food was good) Pret A Manger is also close by if you just want a coffee and pastry in the morning and/or get a sandwich to take with you and eat later. We did this 3 of the days we were there because we loved their breakfast baguettes and pastries.
You are also within a 15 minute walk to Leadenhall Market where they filmed some Harry Potter scenes. We ate at the Ortega tapas restaurant and had a great sampler platter.
We had a room with queen bed and single pullout for daughter. Room was clean and beds were OK although daughter thought bed was a little hard. A little smaller than what we are used to in the U.S. but we weren't there to stay in the room. The staff were very pleasant and helped secure our luggage because we had arrived just before noon so room wasn't available. Having a couple of PCs in the lobby with a printer was helpful with printing boarding passes and maps. Only suggestion for improvement would be to have the staff more knowledgeable about surrounding restaurants and timetables of local amenities.

Thank you for your kind comments and compliments left on Tripadvisor after your 5 days stay with at our property.
I am glad to read you had an overall very nice stay with us liking the proximity to the underground station of Tower Hill as well as so close to some of London’ most famous landmarks.
I am also very satisfied to see that our staff was so pleasant and that our business centre was very helpful for your needs.
It was a real pleasure looking after you and we would be really pleased to welcome you back to the Novotel London Tower Bridge for your next visit to London.

On arrival, I have to admit I was disappointed - we had lots of luggage and there is no porters or concierge - the receptionist let us use a trolley but after asking for a manager, a young lady appeared and gave us a hand - then we found out there was no car park and they directed us to a NCP 15 minute walk away (in the rain!) that cost £28 a day!
However - we got a great deal £120 a night for a large, comfortable room with settee and good facilities, kettle, fridge, hairdryer and free wifi, even a cable to play your MP3 through the tv. The room is spotless, the towels and linens were pure white and soft, even the kettle was bright and shiny!
And it just got better - the staff were all excellent - from the housekeeper who left extra tea bags when she found out I was a big tea drinker and extra towels when she saw we were soaked from the rain. The receptionist (Enoka?) who came up to fix my wifi. The manager who brought my suitcases to our room. The front desk staff who were unfailingly polite, helpful and professional.
It was a real pleasure to stay at this hotel and despite the teething problems we experienced at the start - it all turned out well in the end.
We'll be back. :)

Room Tip: We had a view of London Tower on the 7th floor...very nice room.

Firsly, very good value for 2 adults and 2 children for Friday/Saturday night, last weekend of summer holidays - £138 per night but we decided on Superior Room at £155 per night plus £9.95 breakfast per day/per adult (kids breakfast free). All booked online.

Easy to find. Exit Tower Bridge tube station for Trinity Square, turn left and you can see Novotel hotel signage. 2 minutes walk, ideal. Check in was friendly efficient and we were upgraded to a suite - didn't know they did suites! Thank you!

Our suite, room 102, was at the back of the hotel and ideal. It had a large entrance area, to the left of this the children had a twin sofa bed in the lounge with their own wardrobe, fridge and tea/coffee facilites. Also had flat screen television, large table with six wheeled red vaux leather chairs (pushed to one side). To the right was our very large king bedroom (or could be twin) with wardrobe, safe, fridge, iron/board, hairdryer, dressing table with additional pull out working desk, flat screen tv, separate toilet, bath room with over bath shower. Bose iPod speaker system, plug in broadband access, as well as free 24 hr wifi, bluetooth keyboard.

Breakfast excellent, quieter between 7-8am. Bar was well decorated, large flat screen for sports events though this could be avoided by where you sat if you weren't interested. Ate lunch in the bar on our last day before collecting our bags from the free storage facility and catching our train home. The food and service was very good.

I stayed 5 nights with family. I read reviews here previously. I wasn't too sure in which location to stay in London. But very pleased with this location. Close to Tower Bridge/ Tower of London and the St Katherine Docks. Much quieter area which I prefer. Had dinner twice in the St. Katherine docks area. Highly recommend Italian restaurant Strada. Rooms were fabulous, clean and I was pleased that the toilet was separate to the bathroom. comfortable beds, Free Wi fi. Buffet breakfast was more than sufficient. Train station round the corner 'Tower Hill' tube, less than 5 min walk. There are two groceries stores a short walk away for self catering. Pubs round every corner. Walked to St. Paul's Cathedral. Didn't use the sauna, but when I went to investigate met a guy there that considered it one of the best he's used. My sister arranged a gift to our room and she told us the hotel staff were very helpful in arranging it. The staff were very helpful and professional. Provided us with maps and helped with directions to places. I also noticed staff in the breakfast area very efficient. A really good quality hotel.

This hotel is in a great location in terms of proximity to the tube. Clean hotel. Funky shower/room divide. A little disappointed with the restaurant/bar area - a bit atmosphere-less compared to others around but nice clean hotel. Stayed for 2 nights in June. Unless I went the wrong way, there's not much around other than the bridge. Expensive though!
