We had high hopes after reading the other reviews. We had one disappointment after another. First we were told we could not have the breakfast offerings, even though they were on the board, and other items were crossed off the board. They offered a particular omlette for the afternoon menu (too rich for me) but when asked if they could make a plainer omlette, they said they could not do that. We ordered different food, and after a long time (the family next to us recieved their roasts and were halfway through finishing them) they brought me a vegetarian dish I ordered, only to find bacon in it, and the side dish I ordered was incorrect. My husband did not receive his side dish. I asked to speak to the manager. 15 minutes later, literally, I asked again to speak with her as she had not come over. I reviewed the situation with her, and she told me she would have the dish remade for me without the bacon (it is a listed veg dish on the menu!) and the kitchen would get it to me as soon as they "can get to it". Funny, I thought after our experience the dish re-do would have gone to the top of the queue. I expressed my disappointment to the manager about the unwillingness to accommodate my egg request and was told that, "every single weekend we get many requests to do that but we can't because it would n't be fair to others if we make an exception." I told her I understand that, but if you have these "many" requests every weekend, the market is telling you something and perhaps you should reconsider. Well, I could go on, but even after everything, the food itself was only adequate. Perhaps their roasts were good, I don't know we didn't try that. We will never revisit because I don't believe when I'm spending money I should be paying for attitude, poor service and general disinterest--especially from the person in charge! Go somewhere that appreciates your business, with more interesting and enjoyable food.
