“Excellent value for money and in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2011

The standard of comfort, cleanliness and service was very good. The bedroom was fresh and light and immaculate. The price of the continental breakfast was extremely competitive and the quality of the food could not be faulted. Particularly good was the fresh fruit salad. A nice dining environment with the option of sitting outside on the terrace. The hotel is in an excellent position for bus routes into the city centre, walks on the Heath and access to all the great cafes and shops in Hampstead and Belsize Park.

We stayed on a short break in a family room, When we were looking for a hotel in London, obviously price was important but also location and ease of tube into London. Also safe carparking which didn't cost the Earth.
Firstly the room was very clean, not overly spacious but this is England and in London so don't expect an American style suite but fine for 2 adults and an 11 year old. Facilities were good, bed was excellent, cleanliness was excellent, Great hot shower, rather pleased with that aspect actually, Freeview TV and tea and coffee and lets face it you go to London to see the sights and NOT to lounge about in a hotel room so basic but there is everything you need really, . The breakfast was superb, we had the full English and you can have as much or as little as you want, really sets you up for the day, Great selection and loads of continental selection too...great flexible breakfast times, not restricted to 5 minutes so if you see a show and sleep in a little you won't miss your breakfast!! Car park is safe and good and not too expensive, left my car for the entire time we stayed and it was fine.
But you know what made this hotel brilliant....the STAFF. Couldn't do enough...friendly, funny, happy, enthusiastic, those two girls on the front desk had the most amazing sense of humour and attitude and quite frankly were an absolute credit. Lovely change from most other hotels we have stayed in, and it really does matter, because it speaks volumes about how the hotel is run. We have stayed in loads more expensive hotels in London and have NEVER received the same levels of service that we enjoyed here...it is that GOOD.
Location of this hotel is superb, Hampstead is a lovely part of London, leafy and green and quiet but with a number of small eateries and stuff almost next door. Tube is about 30 seconds walk and is the Northern line so 10 minutes and you are at Leicester square and bang in the middle of it all, stay on the tube for another 5 minutes and you are a minutes walk from the London eye...perfect for sightseeing trips.
So there you are.......
I don't normally do these review things, but this time I wanted YOU to benefit from our experience, we are just a normal family from Wolverhampton, who had a great time in London and enjoyed a great level of service at this hotel for a great price considering it is Central London.
It isn't often you can recommend stuff nowadays.....seems the world has gone to pot. BUT this hotel and these people deserve credit.
Great hotel and brilliant staff!!

Dear Tonii588

Thank you for such a fantastic review of our hotel. It gives me great pride to read your comments and I have printed them out for the whole team to see.

We have all worked extremely hard to improve our service over the last few months, with customer service training courses and team events to build momentum, as we constantly challenge ourselves to exceed guests expectations of standards and service. It is great for us to see that guests are enjoying their stay and the whole team are genuinely excited to be able to help our guests out with anything that they could possibly need. As the manager, it is a great pleasure to work in such an environment and I am very proud of my team and the hotel.

I am so pleased that you and your family enjoyed your visit to London and that we in some way added to your trip for the right reasons. Thanks once again for taking the time to write the review and I hope that we can welcome you and your family back soon to London Hampstead Premier Inn.

Kind regards

I spent 2 nights here with my husband and 2 children on our annual trip to London. We have stayed at most of the Premier Inns in London so pretty much knew what to expect. Having been recently refurbished, the rooms were clean and modern. They are quite small but large enough for our purpose. The beds were extremely comfortable.
Staff were lovely, very friendly.
Location is great - lots of bars and restaurants literally on the doorstep and more just 10 mins walk away in Hampstead. Northern line station3 mins away and really handy to get to lots of places we wanted to visit.
Breakfast in adjoining restaurant was fine- plenty of choice - but a bit disappointed it wasn't a Premier restaurant as we have always found their eve meals good value.
Definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here seven nights, six nights one week, one night the next. It was right when they were finishing up renovations, but we rarely heard the noise. Check in was fast and they held our luggage so we could sightsee. We had a family room, a comfortable full-sized bed with a twin. While the room wasn't large, there was enough for three and all our stuff. There's a smallish TV, teapot with tea and instant coffee, hair dryer, extra pillows, a/c-heat.

What there wasn't: Luggage rack, drawers, iron and board (can call down for them), wash cloth, enough counter space in bathroom.

We ate breakfast one morning--8.50 pounds per adult and kids under 16 eat free, a great deal if you have hungry kids. We didn't use the internet but it was only 5 pounds a day, and there's a short-term internet computer in the tiny lobby.

The location is great, about three blocks from the Belsize Park tube station. It's in a very walkable neighborhood with restaurants, pubs and stores, including Budgen's, an excellent supermarket. We also liked the George (the pub across the street) and the Euphorium cafe.

I do have to add that the housekeeping was a little lax. For example, we left crumbs on the desk and they were still there the next day. And the floor could have been vacuumed better.

Great value for a short family stay in London. Staff were so friendly and it makes all the difference. The room was compact but fine and the beds were really comfy, sheets were good quality. The location was brilliant - a quiet, pleasant part of London, 3 mins from tube station. Can't really think of a down side - we plan to use this hotel again when we return to London.
