Originally in very basic room without heating (broken) after 2 hours of phone calls we eventually got a portable heater which didn't work well so we had a very poor nights sleep. The next morning we complained and were eventually upgraded to a much better room plus were given a bottle of wine and bar bill paid for. If we not had this experience to begin with we would have scored the hotel 5 as the staff were excellent and hotel in great location.

Room Tip: Don't choose basic room is very small plus our heating was broken and not sorted for 24 hours.

This hotel is large, and has a good fitness and swimming centre, but the rooms are very small (even for London). The single bed I had was in an alcove and even though I am only 5' 6'' my feet were almost touching the end wall, and my colleague of 6' couldn't sleep fully stretched out.
I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, went to Caffe Nero down the road which was a lot cheaper. The hotel is well sited, close to Kensington High Street and park. Staff were superficially helpful until you actually wanted something and weren't really interested in the answer to their standard question 'was everything alright with your stay?'. Food in the restaurant was good, and the conference room was fine.

Dear happygirl20

Thank you for your review, I am happy to see that you were able to enjoy the facilities of the Leisure and Spa in the hotel.

Although are standard rooms are compact, the beds are of a standard size for the UK. At present the rooms are being refurbished and to date the larger Executive and Club rooms are near completion with work having been started on the other room categories.

It is a shame that you didn’t try our breakfast, the team have worked extremely hard and we have received some fantastic reviews on the service, and as you experienced later, the food is good.

We appreciate your feedback and I will be certain to share your feedback with the team

We found this hotel to be very clean nad in a great location. It is a very short walk to the High Street Kensington St. tube station. The rooms are small but very comfortable and reasonable. The buffet breakfast to the best Ive hand in London. The restaurant is wonderful. I have stayed there twice now and when I go back I will stay there again.

Room Tip: Check in before 3PM as there are tour groups arriving after 4PMN

Stayed over the weekend for one night and would highly recommend for visit to london. Close to tube with easy access all over the city. Choose to eat in the hotel and would highly recommend the restaurant, fantastic meal. Sad to say within 24 hours of our visit our debit card was cloned interested to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience? Not that would stop us from going back, just a bit of bad luck.

My partner and I stayed here for a night whilst visiting London for a gig at the Royal Albert Hall. The location is absolutely brilliant, a five minute walk from the tube station and fifteen minutes to RAH. I had opted for an Executive Club room (at an absolutely bargainous rate) and I couldn't believe how clean, modern and spacious it was. I had also arranged for a surprise on arrival for my partner - unfortunately it wasn't in the room when we arrived however that was because we arrived early and was able to check in immediately. As soon as I phoned down to enquire it was bought straight up. The concierges were helpful and reception staff friendly and polite. The pool was fantastic as was breakfast. Thoroughly recommend this hidden gem and cannot wait to return. Only negative was the room was hot whilst trying to sleep despite getting up and turning temperature down several times but that was negated by the big comfy bed :)

Room Tip: Upgrade to an Executive Room if your funds will stretch to it.

Visited the hotel for a 3 day stay on the occasion of a conference staged at the place. Room is adequate for such a stay, but has some cramped aspects; bed and bathroom hardly accommodate a 6''4 person. Preference of an opening window well accommodated and not all that much noise spoils the night. Heating the hotel seems to be free, as all halls and corridors are at mild oven temperatures... Some people may like that but I felt like wearing shorts a lot... Couldn't though. Reception, bar, concierge and restaurant do a good job and service attitude is great. Wouldn't hesitate to book the place again.

Dear Derk2006

Thank you for taking the time to complete your review of the hotel.
Although some of our standard rooms can be compact, we have just UK standard sized beds, I can only suggest that on future stays you select one of our double bedrooms or to make your stay that extra special to take advantage of our Executive or Club room available for upgrade.

We are delighted that you have enjoyed your experience here and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Kindest regards
