“Avoid!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Good location but that's about it. We were meant to stay here but the hotel was overbooked so they transferred us to the sister hotel. They said they would arrange transport for us to Earls Court later that evening but it was like drawing blood from a stone. They forgot to book our cab, staff were argumentative. Awful!! The hotel told me they'd already sent 2 more bookings to the sister hotel that day due to overbooking. We chose this hotel due to location. They said that they picked us to move as we were only staying one night. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU SPECIFICALLY CHOOSE IT DUE TO LOCATION, YOU RISK BEING MOVED TO THE SISTER HOTEL!!!!

Stayed here with my daughter. We were in London for the George Michael concert at Earls Court. Our room was on the 2nd floor which was sered by a small lift or stairs. The room was clean with the usual expected amenities: tea making facilities, tv, minibar. The bathroom was clean although the sealant around the bath could be replaced.Toiletries and a hairdryer were provided. The twin beds were comfortable although the duvet barely covered the bed and the pillows gave me a bad neck.Breakfast was included in the cost of the room (7 - 10am or 8 - 11 am Sundays) although this was continental style and there could have been a bit more variety or the option of upgrading to full English for a reduced price. The stated cost of £9 was expensive even for London prices. The staff were pleasant and helpful when asked. There was little by way of information in the rooms and perhaps this could be added to improve the experience. There were leaflets in the reception area but extras such as tube maps and bus timetables, places to eat and places to visit would be useful.
The concert was amazing and if we were to attend another concert at Earls Court we would consider staying here again.

Room Tip: There is no heating thermostat in the rooms, heating is adjusted via the radiator.

The beds were very comfortable, clean towels every day, crisp bed linen,
We were down for the Olympics and sight seeing, we felt overall that it was expensive for the quality of the room, the location was good travelling time was very short for the purpose of our stay.
The shower cubicle had no shower attachment so you had to hold the shower,
The room was in desperate need of a lick of paint, also very small, not enough plugs that worked either, breakfast was ok, not great, the breakfast room was awful, they were doing some renovations work, so just hope that it carries all the way through the hotel. £330.00 for 2 nights a lot of money for the standard!!!!!!!

found on laterooms.com
Was not expecting much, as got the room for two of us night before online.
Was very surprised, friendly staff, easy to find.
Rooms were good and very clean, reminded me of Travelodge.
Bathroom clean & good condition.
Room was quite warm, as had no air con.
Breakfast 7am to 10am, continental was also asked if we wanted toast, for additional cost you can order English Cooked breakfast. Very close to Earls Court Tube St, 10 minute walk away.
Nice chill out lobby / Reception with Tv and Wi-Fi
Would stay again for sure.

We stayed here on a Friday night and got a good deal through Laterooms. The room was very spacious, bathroom too and both very clean. Location is good with access to bars and restaurants and of course the tube is a short walk away to access central London. This hotel provided all you need for an overnight stay - or indeed longer. It was very comfortable. It was very hot (yes I know the one hot day this summer) and we only discovered you can open the window fully in the morning. It was open with a tilt at the top but if you turn the handle the other way you can open it fully which would have been good for fresh air at night. No noise so a good nights sleep. There is parking on the street outside and it is outside the congestion charge however if you are planning to leave a car there all day that would not work as it on a meter and would need renewing and would be expensive. Breakfast was included and you could upgrade to a full cooked for a very nominal (?£2.50) amount, the continental had choice of cereals, yoghurts, fruit etc and also hard boiled eggs so we stuck with that. Ate at two great places 'Whits' Abingdon Street and the Princess Victoria - excellent food and service at both.

Kensington Court Hotel is located in a residential, quiet street, quite near Earl's Court road, where you can find a variety of restaurants, markets, exchanging bureaus and other useful services. Earl's Court metro station is just a few minutes walk from the hotel and is serviced by the district and the piccadilly lines (this one takes you to the main attractions :D ).
We stayed in a triple room, large enough, clean, with confortable beds and new sheets and a good bathroom.
Concerning breakfast, you'll find toast, about 3 varieties of cheese, yogurts, cereals, some fruits ( apples and bananas), halfmoons, coffee, tea, chocolate... It's a basic one, but a believe that most hotels in this category serve something similar to this, plus you can find internet deals with breakfast already included in the hotel fees, as we did.
Downsides: Our room had no safe (which is something that might influence some travelers' decision). The hairdryer strangely didn't work in the maximum speed, neither our phone worked. The shower isn't that great, but is o.k. Despite all this, I would consider returning, once these problems didn't influence at all our stay, the staff was helpful and it showed to be a positive cost-benefit hotel.
PS. I read a something about the staff being prejudicious. But what would expect when a family appeared on the breakfast on their pj's + annoying spoiled girl? hahahaha Altough rather amusing, I thanked god one of the employees disciplined the child.
