“Good central hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

It's all about location. Very central to explore London. Value for money. Only the drawback was the room was a bit stuffy. Breakfast is okay; however plenty of options open on the highstreet. Otherwise, it's okay stay. 4 out of 5.

Room Tip: Good room away from lift and with view

We arrived in London late on a Friday night booked into an apartment two streets down from this hotel. After a dreadful night in a stuffy, cramped room we left and went looking for an alternative. We had not come across this brand before but after eating breakfast in their restaurant we enquirer about room availability. The staff showed us a couple of rooms and they looked great - we booked in on the spot. We stayed four nights and enjoyed it immensely. Service was excellent, they gave us a great room after hearing our story and looked after us from start to finish. Good value for money and higly recommended!

Stayed at this hotel last night (with my wife) and very impressed for the money. Very new and well presented. Having lived up the road in central london for many, many years this is very close to everything and directly across from the park. Clean, efficient, modern with good road links, bus routes and just a 2 minute walk from the Tube (underground). Pleasant staff and some on-site parking which is secure and easy to use. Did have breakfast and while not 5 star is was very fresh, plentiful with sufficient choice for everyone.

Thoroughly recommend this hotel regardless of whether you are on business or with family.

Room Tip: We took an accessible room (disabled) on the ground floor as this was exceptionaly cheap and all oth...

My Husband, our 9 month old Daughter and I stayed for 3 nights in a King Deluxe room. We chose the hotel due to its location because at the time of booking we couldn't decide whether we wanted to arrive by train (Paddington) or by car (from the M4) and it suited both, whilst also being pretty central. We drove in the end and paid £25 per night to park in the hotel car park.

The room was on the top floor with a good view across Hyde Park and to the opposite side of the Thames. Road noise was not a problem. The room was pretty small, not the smallest I've ever stayed in in London, but for under £150 per night for an upgraded room it was a great deal. We brought our travel cot with us and there was just enough room for it between the desk and the door.

The restaurant at the front of the hotel looked nice, but we didn't use it. Infact we barely spent any time at the hotel, apart from sleeping as we were out & about pretty much all day. There are several restaurant/take away food options close by. We found a nice bakery on the way up to Notting Hill Gate.

For the location, standard and cost I really can't fault it. If we returned I would try and book one of the Suites for the extra space.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a King Deluxe on the top floor. Also, not a room tip, but the cookies at reception are...

It was my first time staying in Doubletree in London as I stayed in Hilton Hyde Park down the road the last time. My first impression was better than Hilton Hyde Park as it gave me a feeling of brightness compared to the latter. Other hotels were dark and old especially in London hotels, but the hotel lobby is bright and clean cut. The check in area was a bit cramp though.

Location was great as it was in between 2 tube stations. Opposite was the Kensington Gardens, good for strolls and Portobello Market was just 5-10 mins walk. There were many eateries around too.

Room was average. Eventhough I was put in the Hilton Honors floor, the view was just shrubs and concrete. I always requested high floor and i was surprised that Hilton Honors floor was in the 3rd floor instead of 5th floor. I should think the 5th floor has better view. But the bed were very comfortable and I had a good sleep on it.

Breakfast was simple and good. The cafe that served breakfast had a good ambience.

The only set back was there were a group of people talking loudly at the corridor past 12 midnight and people tend not to close their room door gently and therefore you will hear a lot of door slamming at different times. Can be pretty annoying. Some hotels are ok. I guess must be the structure of the door.

Overall, I would give this hotel a miss the next time as after this hotel, I went further down the road and stayed at Hilton Kensington Park which I will review soon. This was a much better hotel to stay.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights while on a trip to London. Check in was smooth and our room was just right. We had breakfast both mornings which was lovely. From a full English breakfast to pastries, cereal and yogurt. Check out was also smooth and we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checkout to collect later on in the day.
The hotel is perfectly situated with Queensway and Bayswater tube stations a very short walk away.
We would defiantly stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in central London.
