The Good first: close to two tube stations, rooms were clean and OK. Breakfast was decent.
The Bad: Really loud construction noise that staff is NOT sympathetic to. We stayed on the fourth floor on the first night, when they were renovating the fifth floor and woke up from our jet-lagged slumber to power tools. We asked for a new room immediatley and staff tols us that they can move us, but that we can hear the noise from anywhere in the hotel. We moved to the second floor, and we could still here the construction noise, although not nearly as loud, but we also had the added noise of a diesel powered scissor lift right outside our window. It was loud and we could smell diesel fumes through our drafty windows that wouldn't close all the way. I am very disappointed in Hilton for affiliating themselves with this hotel before it is ready.

Booked this 'Ramada hotel' back in April for a special night away in December as going to a concert at Royal Albert Hall. Booked based on reviews on trip advisor then, but obviously there have been changes. The hotel is under re construction and we found poor quality service and amenities throughout. On arrival couldn't find the door way in, as so many construction machines and workers around. Side of building and road all blocked off.
Entered reception through heavy glass doors at front, walking through dining area. Check in was poor - they kept referring to me as Mr although I am very clearly female - all written details of booking and room number card etc had 'Mr' on it. Got to room to find a platform with workmen on it right outside window - very noisy, no privacy. Called reception and they moved us to a newly decorated room overlooking the side street, but the construction noise and drilling went on 'til after 5.30pm Friday. The next morning (Saturday) we were woken by construction deliveries at 7.30 am despite being told no construction work started until 10am.
Room satisfactory except for visible dust on the net curtains and mould on the ceiling above the bath - looked awful. Bed was comfortable though!
Breakfast was OK. Wide choice of continental and english breakfast and food replenished frequently so nothing seemed to run out. Toaster was broken on one side so took ages to get any bread actually browned. All staff were pleasant but not forthcoming with service - had to ask for hot drinks to be served. Slow at clearing crockery from table.
Overall a disappointing stay at a hotel that did not meet standards expected by either a Ramada or a Hilton. Interesting to note that no current 'badging or signage' is seen in hotel to either company - clearly Ramada has gone and Hilton don't want to accept it in it's current state. Won't be returning there.

Loved where the hotel was located. two different underground lines close to the hotel which was convenient depending on where you wanted to go. Plenty of food choices within the area, with queensway rd nearby. Hotel was a under renovation when we visited, however didn't really hear any noises from the construction as we were always out. Friendly and helpful staff made the stay more enjoyable. In its current condition, the hotel may not be up to the mark as we were able to hear some dissatisfaction from the business travellers while waiting at reception. Road and traffic noise quite apparent if your room faces the road. if you want a quieter room, ask for those at the back.

This must be the worst Hilton ever - it's like sleeping in the motorway hard shoulder so much noise. The room is so dated with 2 coat hangers !! If your a Hilton honours member expect the worst possible room without any upgrade Avoid this hotel and stay at a real Hilton.
