This is not a Hilton or Double Tree despite the fact that the booking was made on the Hilton web site. This place is badly in need of some renovation - the rooms are very tiered. And don't bother paying extra for a Park View Room - yes, you do have a great view of the park - a car park!

And the heating/ air conditioning system needs some attention - just too noisy, even with ear plugs in.

I wouldn't bother with this place until it's been renovated.

I booked this hotel via the Hilton website - on arrival building work meant the main entrance was unusable and I had to try and get in via a very heavy glass door which I could not open and had to be assisted by a passer by. On checking in I was informed that breakfast was not included which was not clear from the website and my booking confirmation. The lift was not working and I had to be taken via the staff lift on a very convoluted route in the back of the hotel. The carpets were tired and needed cleaning/replacing - the decor in my room was also in need of re-doing and there were two chips in the bath. The free wifi only lasted for a few minutes and as there was no guest services directory in my room I could not easily check how much paid internet access was. The room was small but no smaller than comparable hotels in London but if you need to work at the desk, the huge TV takes up a lot of the space. On a plus point, the staff in the restaurant were all extremely pleasant and helpful. The building work noise did stop by 5pm but started up at 7am again. Don't go there if you want a lie in. I won't be back as this hotel fell far below the standards I had expected.

I booked this on a webiste which stated that this is a double tree hotel. 1st time visiting a hilton hotel and I have never been so disappointed.
When visiting we were greeted by lovely reception staff.
Getting to our room we noticed a dirty tray next to our a door with dirty pizza.
Rooms were small and ok for the price we paid just over £100.

Behind one of our beds were a dirty eye patch which had a yellow substance on there. I have been liaising with the operations manager and have not received a response for about 2 weeks now.

Do not waste your money here.

I bought the room last minute on hotels.com for 140 for a single room not including breakfast. Upon checking in the girl was very haughty and robotic, and declared rudely my pre authorisation had declined, she tried again but again said it had declined quite bluntly implying that I didnt have enough in my bank to cover it which I most certainly did. I checked in anyway and discovered upon ringing my bank that the authorisation HAD in fact gone through not once, but twice, meaning that for 48 hours they held 100 pounds and I didnt spend anything.

My room was tiny and freezing cold upon checking in, so much so I had to get into bed asap, the tv only had 12 or so channels, the wi fi didnt work in the room and the shower was spitting water without a proper jet.

Checking out, the man asked me if my stay was good and when I said actually no, he said 'oh right ok' and then said goodbye without asking why (Getting my name wrong in the process, being a double barrelled English name its not hard to get right!)

THEN when I asked the porter for a cab he rushed out to flag one down for me totally ignoring the fact I had two massive suitcases, and had to lug them myself down the stairs as the ramp door was out of order. And as a small female I found this difficult!

Four star hotel? No way! Ive stayed in two stars with more character, customer service and value for money.
