“Nice area, average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

I was given a very nice greeting from the girl in reception when I arrived at the hotel. She had me checked in in no time, and 1 minute later, I was in the room. I had booked a single room, and the size of the room was quite okay for London and Paddington. However, the noise from the street was very bad, possibly because of the single glazing, and/or a window that could not completely shut. The room was clean and tidy, and so was the bathroom. Mind you, the size and arrangement of the bathroom was rather poor, and it was difficult to move around in the bathroom. Keep in mind that I am not a big person, quite an ordinary size. The breakfast was included in the price, but unfortunately, I did not have time to try it out, as I left early in the morning for work. The location of the hotel is great, as there are plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby, and the same can said about public transport, bus and tube.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a room away from the street, it is very noisy.

Went to the Duke of Leinster Hotel near Paddington.,at the end of January on business to obtain a visa.for a pending holiday. On arrival greeted by a very pleasant young receptionist, who was very helpful, suggested we sit and have a free coffee as our room was not quite ready. We were early ,but the Hotel was very accommodating., and let us have our room early. The room clean, nice white linen sheets, small in size but we were only there one night .Continental breakfast was sufficient ,and enough staff on duty to take care of your needs. Well done ,as it wasn't that expensive for the night .Walking distance to plenty of restaurants cafes and bars.I would definitely stay there again.

Not expecting rain, we arrived soaked. The cheerful staff and the quick and hassle free check-in was a timely.
Room was small, as expected of a London hotel.
We stayed in a room facing the front, but surprisingly was a quiet night.
Room was warm, although the window was not double glazed.
After a long day, we opted for breakfast in the room and wow! It was on time and the continental breakfast was good and fulfilling.
Good location to tube stations restaurants and London attractions.
So far so good. Lets hope the few more days will be just as good.

We were a group of 7 friends, stayed in 3 rooms [double and triple rooms] for 3 nights.

Kind and Helpful Staff.
Small but Very Clean Rooms and Bathrooms with daily housekeeping service!
Very satisfied with the continental breakfast [includes toasted or not bread, butter, marmalade, honey, all types of cereals, croissants, yogurt, milk, coffee, orange juice and tea etc.]. Also, coffee and tea is offered at the reception area, free of charge and all day!
Free Wi-Fi access in rooms!

The hotel rooms seem to be recently renovated but the floor was a bit old!

Very good location, near to bayswater and queensway underground stations, just 5 minutes!

A small hotel near the Hyde Park, 15-20 minutes from the marble arch, the best thing in the hotel are the friendly staff, I booked three rooms in the hotel but one of them by mistake ( through the booking.com) they refuse to return my money back (their manager order)although they rent it to somebody else ! The breakfast is good. The room is nice but bed sheets not so clean and the bathroom items not supplied after it finished, water boiler with tea and coffee are available in the room. In general reasonable three stars hotel for it's price.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

I booked this hotel on a surprise bid with Priceline.com. After winning the bid for a ten night stay, they gave me the name and I immediately went to TripAdvisor to check the reviews. The reviews older than a year told a nasty and frightening tale. I should have ignored those and so should you. Focus instead on the more recent reviews which are consistently excellent. At some point the hotel changed hands and had a complete transformation of both management and staff and was transformed into a wonderful and lovely place to stay. I agree with all the recent wonderful reviews and would like to add that this was one of the most charming and comfortable places I have ever stayed in London, and I include those hotels at three times the price. I think its the staff that really makes this hotel special. They are an international team from several countries in Europe, multilingual, all with great English and with a personal desire to be sure you are comfortable and have what you need for a great stay. The breakfast was a big plus each morning with Monica leading the kitchen staff, greeting and providing for each guest, always with a smile. The reception staff of Marta, Maria and Anna were always helpful and kind and provided directions and recommendations, never tiring of questions. The rooms were small but since our stay was longer than usual, they changed us to larger room as soon as one was available. It was always spotless and well tended. The location of the hotel is ideal, close to bus and tube stops, in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It was great to just be able to cross the street to walk through Kensington Gardens passing the Palace in the mornings. In summary, I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. Fabulous staff, with wonderful breakfasts included to start the day, excellent location and clean and comfy rooms, all at a very reasonable price. What's not to like? I plan to return often..

Room Tip: Try to ask for a larger room if you can. The regular rooms tend to be pretty small..

Really helpful and nice staff, helped us with everything - always with a smile. We had to change room because of to much noise in the morning - got a new room right away without any problems.

Close to underground, but in a peaceful neighbourhood.
