“Excellent Location Superb Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Stayed here for 2 nights. Excellent hotel. Room clean, beds comfy. Apple Mac TV excellent. The roof top bar was a treat, with superb views.
Location was brilliant. 2 minutes from Tower of London and 5 minutes from Tower Bridge and St Katherine's Docks (where there are some excellent restaurants with pavement seating so you can enjoy the view).
Excellent touch of a warm cookie when you arrive!
One tube from Kings Cross (central yellow line via Liverpool St). Will be returning here!!!

I stayed for one night on business but am quite familiar with the hotel as it is close to one of my offices. It is generally good value, especially if you get a deal. It is often a similar price to the Premier Inn nearby and considerably better. Rooms are modern with comfortable beds (great pillows) and an Apple Mac for a TV so free internet access. Wifi is also free and fast. It is in a good location for both the City and nearby tourist sites, so good for business or leisure. The Sky Bar is a fab setting though the prices are somewhat over the top. All in all a good hotel, no complaints.

We stayed for 2 nights as a birthday treat in August 2013. The hotel was wonderful and in a great location for visiting Tower of London, Tower Bridge and walks up and down the Thames, very relaxing and enjoyable. We stayed in a King Deluxe room which was great, one thing about the Double Tree hotels are the WIFI and IMac with TV in the rooms, which are all modern and as we stayed in the Double Tree in Westminster last year the rooms are consistent and well appointed. We ate in the City Cafe restaurant for dinner which was great, highly recommend. The only slight criticism we have is with breakfast, we avoided the busy times advised by the hotel information and on the first morning there was limited selection of hot food, despite waiting for a while and on the 2nd day it was better, but we would have been very disappointed if we had paid extra for breakfast (we got our complimentary with our Hilton Honors membership), both days I had to ask twice for a pot of tea, coffee was brought straight to the table but not my tea. However, we would have no hesitation in staying again if we wanted to stay in that area of London.

We Only stayed for 1 night but were very happy with the room and hotel in general, a great location right next to tower hill tube station and the tower of London etc. The room was very clean and well equipped. I would say the only slight negative was trying to understand some of the staff as none that we met were native English speaking also the dining room at breakfast was packed and we had to queue for some time firstly to get a table and again at the buffet, the breakfast was good and had a good choice although if I was to be picky I would suggest a few more cooked egg options as they only offered scrambled no fried/poached. all in all a very good hotel though no major issues and we would stay there again.

Brilliant weekend stay in London to celebrate my wife's 50th Birthday. Made even better by our stay in the Hilton DoubleTree by Tower Bridge. Staff friendly and room was very modern. It was a a little on the small side but not that important as we were out most of the time. The restaurant was very good value and the waiters were very efficient and friendly. Try the sky lounge on the top floor. The staff were worked off their feet the weekend we were there which meant having to wait a bit longer for table service and whilst this is not a criticism it is worth noting for anybody expecting a quick drink. The cocktail bar staff were great and its worth getting to know them as this did help speed things up a bit when you wanted a repeat order. The prices are high. My advice, dont look at the bill...enjoy the view instead!!!

The Hotel is very modern the personal is very friendly. The only problem of this hotel is during the breakfast. If you decide to go for breakfast around 9 the room will be very crowded and you have to wait for a table or wait in a queue to get your food... But in general the hotel is very pleasant.

Booked via booking.com, twin room for two nights sight seeing with my son. The hotel gave us a double and took two visits to reception and a phone call to resolve. Once sorted the rooms are good, clean and smart with Apple TV and computer, complementary water, aircon.
Sky bar is well worth a visit, but be warned the drinks are expensive.
Breakfast was taken on both days, take a table, orderd drinks and eggs before using the buffet. Unfortunately the buffet was not hot, but that aside the options are good. I would'nt pay the price for Luke warm English breakfast though.
Those things aide, I would stay again, I just hope they pick up on the issues posted.
