“Eat Here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

Good, local Italian that was full when we were there. All the food looked good and our pizza and salad was fantastic. Stick to the house wine which tastes just great.

“Good but beware the charge for bread and olives”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

This appeared to be a popular local restaurant which we discovered by chance when walking by. Having recently been in France where bread and olives were offered without cost, we accepted the immediate offer of a piece of bread each and then a small dish of olives when we sat down, thinking it was a nice touch. On reading the menu we subsequently discovered it was at a cost of £1.30 pp which for 2 adults and 2 children (who don't eat olives) adds up. I reckon this borders on unethical behaviour and it left us feeling a bit resentful. Ye, we could have contested it but we were too tired do so.

Leaving that aside, the food was tasty and standard Italian fare. If there is a menu for children, we didn't see it but our two were happy with the main menu. The pizzas are one size and quite large so could be shared. I would go back.

“Great service, good food, relaxed atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

I was staying in London less than 100 yards away and the reviews were great, so this was an easy pick. The highlight of this meal was the great service offered by the entire staff. The food was good, nothing special but nothing to complain about, either. I had the ensalata caprese and the spaghetti carbonara. I'll probably try other dishes if I return again. The atmosphere was relaxed. Nothing pretentious here. There was a family with a crying baby in the other room, which fit the atmosphere fine although I was glad to not be seated any closer (grin). I didn't have a reservation, and although the restaurant was busy, I was seated immediately. Turnover seemed quick.

“Delicious dinner!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We ate at O Sole Mio because it was close to our hotel and opened at 5:30 so we knew we'd have plenty of time to enjoy our meal before our theater show began. It was a great choice! The bread was very good (but you do pay for it if you take it). Our salads were huge and fresh. The pasta dishes were also delicious. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive but not pushy. A very good meal overall!

“Tasty food in a great area of London”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

We ate here in the evening after a very long day of queuing and fighting the crowds of London with our three young children. Our hotel was a few doors away (Luna Simone Hotel) and the staff there recommended it. We were delighted to find somewhere so close to the hotel. The service was great. The food delicious and authentic, and we felt very welcome with the kids, indeed there were families of all ages dining. Delicious food and not too expensive, with efficient friendly service.
