We stayed at the Hotel for my girlfriend's birthday, I paid for a superior double room, and got what is best described as a single room with a double bed (563) which was not value for money. The smallest room I have ever stayed in London. The bed was so close to the wall that a second bedside cabinet would not fit, and being a tall man it was not ideal and it was awkward especially at night. However, The room was spotless, and the shower was bracing. The buffet breakfast served until 10:30 was very good value for money, and plenty of choice including black pudding !! Don't worry about tipping they automatically add 10% to your bill. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The best part of the hotel is the location, you can literally walk to everything, Harrods is max 10 minutes away. Plenty of bars restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Would we return ? not to that room !

Currently staying in this hotel. Booked to stay for 5 nights and thought the hotel looked good. Arrived today, visiting London with mum. The room we have been allocated is so tiny and very unsuitable for a 5 night stay! We booked this hotel thinking it would be lovely but it is not! When we asked to move rooms we were shown a room with a double bed! Then told we could upgrade and pay another £40 per night! We have already spent a considerable amount of money coming here and had we known how terrible the room sizes were we'd have saved our money and stayed at a premier inn. Staff are not really helpful, it really isn't a 4 star. My advice is if you are looking to stay in London book somewhere else and don't waste your money on this hotel

Stayed here a few weeks ago on a quick stop-by for two nights. Excellent location for walking to many touristy locations but we were pleased to find around the corner a fantastic little square with coffee shops, pubs, and restaurants. Located near the tube as well! Staff was very polite and helpful. Accommodations were nice but the walls seemed a bit thin. Pretty sure we heard the folks above us "jumping" on the bed. ;)

Our favorite part about this hotel was the lounge. Each evening when we returned from walking and sightseeing we would stop off in the lounge, chat with other guests, enjoy a glass of wine and then head up to bed.

Wonderful location, would definitely stay here again!

The Rembrandt is one of those Hotels that is difficult to review..pretty good ..but not exceptional..We had a couple of problems ..one with the hair dryer.. catastrophic according to my loved one..just one of those things according to me..anyways they bought us a new one ..the day was saved..
The location is perfect for those wishing to tour the(free) museums...and Harrods's is nearby, a place that does not allow the word free through the door
Food..Breakfast excellent and is included in the price..the bar and casual dining area are pleasant and the food is OK..We dined in the main restaurant ..something I try to avoid in any hotel I visit. Pretentious and overpriced is the usual ..The Rembrandt restaurant was one of the better ones..but it is Knightsbridge so there are no shortages of decent eateries..at Knightsbridge prices..
That's about it..I would happily stay at the Rembrandt again..So you can take that as a recommendation..

Room Tip: Tell them you are a Dutch painter..and promise you won't cut your ear off in the Bathroom..That...

I took my wife to London as a birthday present and booked The Rembrandt as part of a British Airways package. We arrived on Monday 27 April, and left today, 30th.
Check in was a breeze helped by a very friendly receptionist.
Our room on the 4th floor (443) didn't have much of a view, but I'm not in London to look out of a bedroom window all day! The room served our purposes very well, the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Our maid saw us going to breakfast and had the room serviced both days before we came back. Brilliant service.
Continental breakfast on our first day was disappointing. We went to the dining room at 9am to find that the plate of cold meat only had 3 pieces of salami on it, nothing else.
I asked the guy behind the counter if he could refresh it and he told me it was all finished! I expressed my disappointment at this reply, and he said he would speak to the chef. A few minutes later, he returned with some sliced chicken breast and said that was it! I took some and sat down at the table at which point my wife said he had brought out something else. After placing it down, he wiped his nose with his sleeve...ugh!
The next day we went down earlier and had a much better selection. I must add that the waiting staff work very hard and were very attentive towards everyone in the dining room.
Overall, we had an excellent stay at this hotel, and would not hesitate to return. It is well placed for museums, South Kensington tube station, and has plenty of eating places nearby. There is also free wifi which worked perfectly well for us. Well done!

Dear GlasgowRobbo

Thank you for taking the time to post such a detailed review of The Rembrandt. I am delighted that you had a very good stay and were able to enjoy your wife’s birthday in comfortable accommodation, in an excellent location. Breakfast is the busiest meal of the day and Monday – Friday it is served from 7.00am until 10.00am. All items should be available for the meal service, if an item runs out then it should only take a few minutes to replenish, staff should politely advise the guests of this. I have taken the liberty of sharing your comments regarding this meal with our Food & Beverage Manager to ensure that additional training takes place, to ensure that service levels remain consistent and high. Complimentary WiFi is available for our guests throughout the hotel in our bedrooms and public areas. Overall, I am thrilled that you had an excellent stay and would return, perhaps to celebrate another birthday or wedding anniversary? Please come back soon.

Kind regards

My husband booked through Bookings.com and got a tiny room on the front of the hotel. We asked if we could get something bigger and they upgraded us to a much larger back room for an extra £20. It doesn't have a personal feeling but it's what it says on the Tin, Clean, friendly and Central!

Dear Georgina M

Thank you for reviewing The Rembrandt following your stay in February. I am delighted that you enjoyed our location opposite the V&A, close to Harrods and Hyde Park whilst also being within easy walking distance of South Kensington or Knightsbridge Underground Stations. Our bedrooms do vary in size and shape, as we are not a purpose built hotel, however, every effort is made to provide accurate bedroom descriptions and photographs on our website. Subject to availability upgrades into higher bedroom categories are offered for a daily supplement, I am pleased you liked your larger room at the back of the hotel. I do hope that you would consider returning to us as we provided clean accommodation, friendly service in a central location.

Kind regards
