I've stayed here before - it's a 10 min £6 taxi ride from kings cross and a 2 minute walk from Russell Sq tube station which is a direct run to Heathrow in one hour - so good location - but they are painting the hallways right now and the paint smell gets in your room.

Ideal location in central London. We upgraded to an exec room which means you get free wifi and a lot more room so well worth it. Service was good, rooms clean (if a bit tired) but just the job. Would definitely stay here again.

Though from the outside the holiday leaves a little to be desired inside the holiday is modern and well maintained. Staff very helpful and polite. Go early for breakfast as around 9am on a Saturday expect to queue... Earlier the better. The best thing about the hotel is the great location. 2 mins from Russell sq tube you are directly on the Piccadilly line.. 1 stop one way to St Pan/ kings cross. And a couple of stops to Covent Garden, Leicester sq and Knightsbridge not to mention Hyde park. So convenient for all that Xmas shopping and a night out.

Only issue is the rooms were so hot you can feel ill... Windows do not open, air on turned off so no cooling or fresh air... Fan was brought up but so loud can't sleep..

Request to hotel. As a platinum ihg member please allow air con to cool room... I know it's Xmas but I don't need it to be 80 degrees plus

The above said will stop again. I have stopped at the intercontinental on park lane and the room was no bigger and this location is far more convenient for the tourist locations

Stayed at the Bloomsbury for our family vacation for 5 days. Convenient place. Close to bus stops and Russell square tube. The staff is good and courteous. Helped us in any small way they could. Breakfast is good and a decent spread. Just had a disturbance one night, when the staff came around waking someone in the room opposite ours. This person may have got wrongly checked in. There was quite a ruckus...which the staff could have managed to do it nicely. They all were very noisy. Could have managed better. The hotel is popular with tour groups and hence has a traveller friendly staff. All in all a good time

Since London is a pricely city, this hotel is truly value for money. Located less than 200m from Russel Square underground station and within a 10 walk to the British Museum and barely 20 min walk to Oxford street.
Stayed on the executive floor (5 level) in a spacious room with a tidy bathroom. Basic amenities available but more upon request. If you require diferent pillows or additional blankets just give a call and the friendly staff will arrange this for you. Breakfast is decent and breakfast room is well organized.

From the polite and quick in-check staff to the friendly cleaning staff-this is a Hotel that ticks all the boxes.I have stayed in many Hotels throughout the world from 1 star to 5 star and this Hotel i cannot fault in any way at all. The staff are mostly from other EU countries but they are ALL curteous and polite. We had an excutive room which was quiet and very clean and had everything that was needed. Like all Hotels-there was banging of doors by inconsiderate guests-not a fault of the Hotel itself. I cannot this hotel at all- We will go back.

I travel out of Euston a lot, and when in London this is a very convenient Holiday Inn as it's only a short walk from the station and from our office. I have nothing to complain about, it's certainly very HI but staff were excellent and I have no problem returning.
