“Don't place clients in substandard rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Our 2 rooms were in need of refurbishment and it was difficult to know if the floors were clean/dirty because the carpets were grubby-looking. Double-glazing did not extend to the bathrooms which, therefore, absorbed noise from the street. Simple facilities, such as a loo brush, were missing and WiFi was charged at nearly £15 per day!

Stayed again for business for two nights. Nice room good amenities. The biggest asset of this hotel is its staff who are lovely and very helpful. The main downside is the noise. This is an old building and the floors are very creaky above you. But there is not much the hotel can do about this. Would return but would ask for a room in the top floor.

This was an excellent hotel located in a perfect area. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was perfect and comfortable. The best hotel we stayed in during our European vacation. The only issue we had ( in their defense they gave us an extremely early check in and the maintenance probably didn't have a chance to correct yet) the AC control box was not working, but within minutes of walking in the maintenance department was already knocking to fix it. It was replaced and taken care of immediately. Thanks Adam for that!

Went for afternoon tea with my daughter which was a red letter day christmas present. Although the place was decorated with a tree and sparse decorations found it to be rather dreary which was a shame considering the time of year. We were greeted by a lovely helpful waiter who bought a box of teas for us to decide which one we would like. The tea was four finger sandwiches each on cheap white bread, two warm scones each with a tiny pot of jam and cream to share, we did get more jam on request, the final tier of the cake stand consisted of one macaroon, one tiny fruit tart, one mini square of chocolate brownie and one mini carrot cup cake. Disappointing there were no mince pies or christmas cake considering its the christmas season! Felt the whole place needs a makeover, sugar in packets instead of cubes, felt we were more in a cafe than upmarket restaurant. Have been for quite a few afternoon teas and usually cannot move and bring away a doggy bag, this is the first time still felt hungry a few hours later! Some background music would have been nice too! so many places for afternoon tea to chose from you might want to keep looking. Staff were very pleasant and helpful plus there was a £6 charge included.

Enjoyed a two night December mid-week stay in such a well-located, comfortable and clean hotel. My room was located in a quiet position and had all the facilities I would need. The staff were really obliging and efficient - nothing was too much to ensure that my stay was a happy one. The breakfast was well-cooked and healthy with the usual options of fruit, cold meats and cheese, yoghurt, cereals, pastries, bread and toast and a full English if desired. Green Park tube station is just around the corner from Half Moon Street where this hotel is located and if you like walking, Piccadilly, Leicester Square and Theatreland is only about 15 minutes walk away at a good pace. Many interesting shops and sites to see on your way. Looking forward to my next stay.

Room Tip: Most rooms seem quiet in my opinion.

Stayed here on Saturday 13th December for one night. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, they checked us in early as our room was ready and helped me out with an ice bucket from the bar.
We were given room 234, a good size for a London hotel room which are normally small. It was at the back of the hotel so we didn't get any road noise. The bathroom was a bit small, but big enough. I mentioned in a review for Hilton that they should install a blind in the bathroom as it doesn't have one currently.
The bed was very comfortable and temperature/AC controls were fine. Safe and iron in the wardrobe, tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. The bar area in this hotel is very nice and comfortable with private areas.
We were going out in the West End so booked this hotel to save us having to travel home late at night. The hotel is in a great spot, Half Moon St, which is just off Piccadilly.

Superb hotel but the quality of the rooms rely lets this hotel down. Broken plug, cheap shower that is no good for anyone over 5 foot tall, cheap bedside lights. Breakfast was very good and well worth the money.
