“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This is a fantastic hotel in every way. On my arrival the staff were so friendly and helpful. I was travelling on my own and was given a beautiful room, one of the best in the Hotel.
I do a lot of business in London and now that I have discovered this hotel I will use it most often. It is also incredibly good value for money.

We spent three nights at the Park Grand Kensington and are glad we did. We had concert tickets at the Royal Albert Hall and this location was good access to that.

We arrived from Heathrow on the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station and it was a short walk down the street to this hotel. The location was even better than we had hoped. Close to transportation but down a quiet street so there was no noise at all.

Our room was tiny but well appointed. Even though it faced the street it was quiet at all hours of the day and night. The bed was very comfortable and offered us both a good sleep. The bathroom was also well appointed and clean.

We booked a rate that included breakfast. The breakfast selection and service were very good both days that we had it. Eggs cooked to order and nice selection of hot and cold items from the buffet.

The staff, every single one we encountered, were helpful and friendly.

I would definitely consider staying at the Park Grand Hotel Kensington again if we are in the area and definitely recommend it to others.

Had they hotel booked for me at the last minute and was concerned that it would be a bit disappointing,,,it wasn't. Only a two minute walk from the tube, loads of restaurants around on Hogarth place and the street parallel as well as Earls Court Road or walking to Old Brompton st. Room was an Ok size but very comfortable and despite a lot of hotels in the area the street level nice was minimal. Didn't eat at the hotel or have breakfast as too many local places to try.

We liked actually everything about it. The location is good, the room is good, spacious, friendly staff. If your room is on the first floor, you might hear passers by talking, but the street is very calm so at least in our case it was not a problem at all.

I booked the hotel on a non-refundable 'early bird' rate which meant that it was cheaper than usual. The room was very nice, with a lovely bathroom, my only small grumble is that we were allocated a basement room with a window that looked onto 2 brick walls, and I don't know whether this would have been the case had we paid the full room rate. The hotel is very well situated, just 2 minutes walk from Earls Court tube station, and nice and quiet. All of the staf were very pleasant and, as we arrived early and were leaving on a late flight, we were able to leave our bags and explore the sights. We had dinner in the hotel on our first night, the food was OK but not great, but ate breakfast out at Gusto, a local patisserie that does lovely pastries and latte. All of the London sights are within easy reach by tube and the hotel is only a 20 minute walk from Hyde Park/Kensington Palace. Altogether a very nice hotel in a nice and convenient location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not in the basement

This hotel has a very good location, close to Earls Court Tube station. It is located in a quiet street, so we were not disturbed by traffic, even though our room was facing the street.
The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. We were always greeted with a smile and a hello when going in or out.
As the breakfast was not included in the price, and we found it rather expensive, we chose to go to nearby coffee shops for breakfast. We can therefor not comment the breakfast at the hotel.

The room is nice, with a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Free wifi worked well.
The only negative aspects, were poor storage space in the bathroom and the room it self. The wardrobe in the room were so poorly lit,so it was difficult to find my clothes. I had to take out everything and put it on the bed everyday when dressing. There is no light near the wardrobe. The barhroom is very nice and has a nice heating, bur it lacks shelves where two persons can put their toileteries. But the bathroom is quite spacious, so some shelves could easily be fitted.
All in all we had a great stay, and I would very much like to Return.

Room Tip: Stayed at 4. floor which was quiet.

Friendly, modern and reasonable. Good quality
first class hotel. It may be a good idea to let the
porter take you up to your room and make sure
that they show you the controls for the air-condition,
the bathroom floor heater, the bathroom off switch
for the exhaust near the ceiling. Also the electronic
“do not disturb” and “make up the room buttons” on
arrival. We wanted to slightly open the window but
in our room it was locked down with screws.
Eventually they opened it. The traffic is light at night
and the slight noise diminished by the superb black
out curtains. A 1/2 bottle of wine and other goodies
on arrival. From there on it is the mini-bar. However
the small fridge and the small microwave is pretty
useful. Good pillows and superb bed. Nice large
modern shower bathroom. A There are many
restaurants and grocery stores for your small meal
supplies. A well run quality hotel in an old but
most interesting district. Close to many interesting
sites and ever so close to an important transportation
center. You would love it unless you must have a
different location.
