I liked the rooms I stayed in, even though they were small - but this was not a real issue for me. The quality of the fittings in the room were high and the beds were comfortable.
The location is very central, and I enjoyed the walk to Knightsbridge and Kensington High Street. Earls Court Underground Station is across the road from the street where the hotel is located.
There is also a myriad of fast food places as well as restaurants to eat at, as well as local supermarkets to buy items from and which you can pop into the microwave oven in the room.
The area is also safe at night and you will find people on the street as late as 12 midnight - 1am.
The staff were polite and very helpful.
There's an airport shuttle that costs £15 for a single passenger (and cheaper if more than one person travelling) and a piece of hand luggage and one suitcase. Each additional suitcase is £3. This was much cheaper for me compared to the £40-£50 I would have paid to take a taxi. It took us less than an hour to get to Heathrow on the evening I travelled. The staff will help arrange the shuttle.
The only downside for me were the room and passage doors in the hotel. Because the doors are heavy duty fire doors, they bang shut very loudly and because this happened every few minutes, it was hard not to notice, especially as I'm a very light sleeper.
I discussed this with the hotel and was given another room, but the problem persisted. I was also shown another room on the ground floor which may not have that problem as it is not directly under another floor and there is only one other room on the same floor. I will try this room out next time I stay there. The hotel should however try and do something about the mechanism of the doors so they shut softly, without any sound.
Also, the rooms could be just a little bit cheaper.
