“Poor communication let down .”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

We had booked this trip as a two couple weekend away (22/24 Feb 13.)Unfortunately couple of days before our friends Mother died suddenly Our Friend informed Holiday Inn of this cancelled their room , explained we would still be visiting. He gave our names ,confirmed we could leave bags prior to 2pm check in.When we arrived the desk clerk found the booking in our friends name and insisted on using his name for us, 2 rooms booked and he wanted to put us each in one. no record of our friends call .We were told to come back at 2 we would be placed on a wait list for a room .We had booked for breakfast unfortunately the hotel had no note of this.as our friend had made the booking we could not dispute this..
The first evening my Husband had a nosebleed on the bottom sheet we left the bed folded back to make this obvious to housekeeping ,who made the bed up still with the soiled sheet and Husband had to sleep on it.There was also only one set of towels so we had to request more..We felt that the rooms were no larger or better than a Travel lodge and that service was not what we expected of Holiday Inn.This was our first Hi visit but our friends are cardholders having used HI in US and UK..We were so looking forward to staying here . The Foyer etc is beautiful but the rooms are quite small, I can only hope we were unlucky in this instance.

Down for a business week. Hotel ok but loads of kids and a bit noisy with local trains. Gym ok with decent cardio equipment and hotel good and close to decent restaurant choices and very close to Gloucester road station. Not really my kind of hotel so will not be back.

We stopped at this hotel to make a weekend of a cup final at Wembley, we arrived by coach at 14.30 and were checked in within about 10 min's, the rooms were very clean and warm, there's a large TV and tea and coffee in the room, and I will say desent size cups for a hotel (can't stand those little piddley cup's), the beds were comfy and well set, the Breakfast next day was a bit of a shamble's we ended up eating in the cafe as there were too many people for breakfast at the same time, but when we got breakfast it was nice, and there was plenty to eat.
The hotel is on the east of Cromwell Rd nr the National Museum, the Victoria & Albert and a stop or two on the underground to Harrods, also it's just a short trip on the underground to the west end and the theatre's so this hotel is well placed with the underground at Gloucester Rd just a short walk away, would we stay again, well Yes..

Room Tip: Try get a High room.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a London break. This a lovely hotel, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble and very welcoming. The buffet breakfast has a wide range of food including eggs and omelettes cooked to order. The bedrooms are not huge but fully equipped and very clean. There are a number of lifts to the 26 floors! This hotel is convenient for the Gloucester Road tube station and in walking distance of Kensington High Street, Knightsbridge and the Science and Natural History Museums. We bought day rovers at £7.20 so that we could hop on and off the tubes. We have used this hotel a number of times and would highly recommend it.

We had an overnight stay at the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum to celebrate mine and my sons birthdays. We had a very warm welcome and the room was compact but perfectly adequate. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Especially the concierge whom i asked several different questions and he never made me feel silly. A wonderful breakfast followed which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Wouldn't hesitate to come again. Thank you to all

Room Tip: The hotel is 27 floors high and the views are fantastic!

This hotel is not new to me,but the stay last weekend was remarkable. I found upon checking in that I had mislaid my loyalty card (even though I hadn't stayed there for a good 3 years!) The staff found out my points total for me and promptly rang my room to give me that information.Shortly after a second call to the room to ensure everything was to my liking and could they do anything more to make my stay even better! I asked for a few more small cartons of milk for tea and coffee, within no time at all it was delivered to my room. The price of our one night stay was only £45 each (no breakfast) .This hotel is no more than a 4 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station on the Piccadilly line/District/Circle lines. It's also in the midst of a fabulous little microcosm of amenities such as supermarkets, fast food outlets, restaurants, pubs,Fish and chip shop etc etc etc.The big museums are also within minutes walking.
The hotel is also base for air crew constantly coming and going which can make it busy at reception periodically. I didn't bother with the £5 boarding pass print out or the £5 per hour wi fi.If these facilities had been gratis, this would have made my evaluation of this stay 10/10. However, I'll grant it a very good 9/10. Well done Holiday Inn. I'll deffo be back.

Room Tip: It's a tall hotel (for London anyway) Get a highroom and do a bit of Heathrow plane spotting as...

A great venue for a weekend break. Really good location for local attractions and access to Underground.
Breakfasts are fantastic and the pub bar is really good too, but had to queue for table for breakfast on Saturday.
Restaurant staff are attentive and the food is high quality and fresh.

Room Tip: Go for the executive rooms.
