We stayed for a long weekend in october 2012. And we enjoyed our stay when checking in we were asked if we would like to join there loyalty scheme which is free to join and gives you discount on future stays by racking up points by doing this we were offered the top floor views over London were amazing. Free papers and bottled water with newspapers. on a table near the lifts every morning. Top Tip you have to use your,e door card to operate the lift on the way up but not on the way down. The full english buffet breakfast outstanding sets you up for the day. Underground just round the corned . Tesco Express just across the road very cheap .

Room Tip: Join loyalty scheme for free

Have stayed here before and like it's location and know what to expect room-wise. I had emailed the hotel asking for a high up room (2 or 3 times), but didn't get a reply. However, when we checked in the front desk person could not have been nicer and offered us a room on the top floor. Fantastic views! We also bought 4 tickets for the guest discounted breakfast which could have been pretty good if they didn't use powdered eggs for the scrambled eggs. We got charged twice for this - once on the original card used for the booking and again on the one we offered for incidentals. I have emailed the hotel about this, but heard nothing back.
Overall, it was a good experience. The rooms are clean, the staff helpful and the pub fun to meet friends in. The location is great; just around the corner from the tube. This must be one of the biggest selling points. The area is safe and full of restaurants, pubs and supermarkets.
Still, I don't see why we wouldn't stay again!

Room Tip: Get a higher up room for less traffic noise.

We stayed for one night at the Holiday Inn, Kensington. We managed to get a very good deal with a compare site. I had booked a double but we were given a twin instead. We were going to ask for a double but when we saw the view we stayed where we were. We were on the 16th floor and had fantastic views over Earles Court and Stanford Bridge (home of the beloved Chelsea FC.
The staff were ok not outstanding but the hotel was clean, comfortable and the location was very good - just an easy stroll to Harrods.
I would recommend this hotel at the price we managed to get it for but would have been dissapointed with the hotel had we paid the full price!

Room Tip: The higher you are the better the view

We only stayed one night and it was very busy. Good location about 5min walk from the tube. Our room was very small but clean, the beds were not great and no free wi-fi. We had to wait for breakfast 15min as it again was busy but they offered orange juice as we waited.

Room Tip: Go for higher room as better views

We stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night to enable us to be within walking distance of Earl's Court where we were going to see George Michael that evening.
We were apprehensive of the size of the hotel -900 rooms but on arrival check in was quick and friendly. Our non smoking room was on the 27th floor and although quite small was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and good facilities. There was complimentary fruit and water by the lift and no complaints so far.
We had a quick meal in the hotel's English Pub and that was very good, but as it is described as an English pub it was odd to see streamed American sport on all the screens.
We walked to and from Earl's Court and enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar when we returned.
We slept well and made good use of the tea and coffee provided in the morning.
We went down to breakfast at 9.30and had to join the queue, but were taken to a smaller room where there was a limited buffet available. The breakfast was adequate but the toaster was an antique and very slow and some of the food was luke warm. The coffee was good.
Check out was simple and quick.
We have stayed in Holiday Inns before and this one was of the expected standard.
An easy walk to the V and A and the Natural history Museum.
We would stay here again.

Room Tip: a great view from level 27

Excellent location for short stay in London. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with a great view. All staff members extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The baggage room attendants and their system was excellent. The only negative's no free wi fi, and the price of breakfast. Plenty of good cafe's within a 5 min walk from hotel though which offer full range of good quality breakfasts at a much cheaper price.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 17th floor have awesome views.
